His nails receded into their beds and returned to a more human look, although they were extremely bloody. His furs were shedding and falling off in black patches. Finally, Xander fell to his hands and knees, breathing unevenly as the transformation concluded.

Third-Person POV Meanwhile, Xavier had his head down as he tended to Tiffany's arm after her allergy flared up. Red rashes covered the entire length of her arm, and she'd even scratched some spots to the point that they were bleeding. Xavier held up a cotton swab, his movements gentle. "Does it hurt?" "A little," she replied. "Hang on a little longer, okay? We're almost done." His phone buzzed in his pocket. He fished it out and glanced at the screen, noting the message from Serena that read, "Let's break up, Xavier."

Xander stepped away and headed towards the reading room that had always accompanied him. Xander remembered that in his childhood, he spent so much time in this reading room. Until all the books in the room he had almost finished reading. However, this time Xander didn't come to read. He came to relax his heavy mind. Lately it's been so hard for him, not only for him. But also for his two best friends, Logan and Alice.

A moment before Einar pushes forward I look at Xander. “What is it?” Einar pushes the shift but Xander answers me in the mind link. ‘Vampires!’
