A shiver ran through my body as I continued to walk to the beach. The path to the beach was lit by lampposts on both sides. LED lights illuminated the greens and made it look like a paradise at night. I could see the lighthouse not so far away as the sound of the ocean waves wrapped my mind with calm. This was something I liked about this estate. It was never dark. The Cortezes had good taste in designing the interiors and landscape. Even now, the entire place looked like a mystical garden. Every aspect about it was so calming.

Cole then knelt down, where I watched curiously as Raphael lifted his hand. There was a shimmering light, so bright that I could not see despite my efforts, and my hands were held up over my eyes. Raphael lowered his hand to Cole, touched his head gently, and the light blasted out. A bright light illuminated the room, sending energy out and shattering the stained glass windows.

They were strung from tree to tree all through the backyard, and high up at that. Which explained why I had not noticed them at first. Cade got out his phone and tapped it a few times, then the lights came on. First, they were solid white, then they began to change colors, blinking in and out of different solid colors.
