Clint The pain crept in before I could fully register what had happened. It started off slowly, like it was testing the water. It felt like a dull ringing in my ears, and a heavy pressure behind my eyes. I tried to breathe but all I could feel was the sharp pain in my ribs that told me something was cracked or bruised deep inside.

“What happens after they release you, Clint? ” “The usual. Physical therapy. Exercises. In home, and in an office somewhere. That will help fix my back and the movement in my arm, once my collarbone heals.” She paused. “Wait, your back? What happened to your back?” I grinned. “I fell twenty feet down a ravine and landed on a bunch of rocks. My vertebrae have slipped out of place. My back’s crooked from the impact.” Her eyes rose to meet mine. “You didn’t tell me that.”

Because I'm not dressed, the cold tickled me. Another issue with my posture is that there is something behind me, which causes my body to be in an arched position. As a result of my neck being locked and the metal spreader on my hands, my bones in my body are much more painful. The shift came because the pressure had nowhere else to go. The first snap happened deep in my spine, a sound less like a crack and more like green wood twisting until it splintered. My back arched without permission. Vertebrae realigned in a wave that started between my shoulder blades and rolled downward, each one clicking into a shape my human skeleton was never designed to hold. The pain was so sudden and so specific…like hot rebar being threaded through the centre of every bone that my vision whited out for half a second.

"I can’t stare at another pivot table without losing what’s left of my sanity. We need a break. A real one." I exhale through my nose, the sound somewhere between a laugh and a growl. "Preaching to the choir, babe. My neck’s so tight I swear if I turn my head too fast, my spine’s gonna audibly crack like a glow stick." The knot between my shoulder blades pulses, a dull, insistent throb that’s been building since Monday. It’s Thursday. Three more days of this, and I’ll need a chiropractor…or a exorcist.

I then lay down on the bench and started doing the dumbbell flys. After that, external rotators, wrist curls, and reverse wrist curls. Alas, the barbell. I lifted it up and cursed. It's heavier than I thought. I lifted it a couple of times, and just when I reached my RM, I gasped. I was lifting the barbell up and behind my neck when my grip faltered. A sharp stabbing pain erupted from my shoulders, and I fell down from the chair. It's like my left shoulder was being burnt.

Goddess, it feels like my back is being shredded. I bite my lip to hold back my scream as the pain in my back reaches a crescendo, and suddenly, all the pressure is released. I blink once, and the burning in my veins eases up. I go to stand up, only to immediately fall on my ass as my entire center of gravity is thrown off by a heaviness I don't recognize in my back.

"You..." Jack not only felt a numbness in his back, but also an indescribable pain in his right arm. Just now, he seemed to have heard a cracking sound. It should be...dislocated. He took a deep breath and broke out in a cold sweat. "Hazel, come over..." He gritted his teeth and forced out the rest of his words, "Help me up, I...seem to have dislocated something." Hazel was stunned and also a little worried. "No...it can't be, right?"

It's a brand new day and I just woke up, yawning. I got out of bed to stretch my body, feeling stiff a little, I think I might have roughly slept on the bed throughout the night. Then I decided to stretch myself, but I think I overdid it as I suddenly heard my back make this cracking noise. The noise scared me and I actually felt the hurt, which forced me to stop stretching immediately. I felt lightheaded for a minute with the way I forced myself to stop stretching immediately I felt pain in my back, and I swiftly reached for the bed to sit and gain back my balance before I could fall.
