Kimberly's Pov.

“Alex?...” I stood at the door, still holding its handle, and was left completely shocked as Sabrina happened to be the one to first take notice of me barging into the room, and when my mate Alexander wanted to do the same. She forcefully grabbed him by the jaw, preventing him from looking at me, and then forced her lips on his.

I felt my whole world turn around immediately and a violent surge of anger and jealousy ran through me at the same time. How dare she? And just like any other normal female would react when another female is messing with their mate. I did the same by walking up to Sabrina and landing the perfect eye-opening slap on her after she separated from Alexander.

However, little did I know that I was actually going to get scolded by my mate for doing that.

“Jesus, what the hell is wrong with you? Kimberly?!” He yelled, raising his voice at me for slapping Sabrina. I would have certainly done more than that like pulling all her hair off before I suddenly had a change of heart.

I wanted to see her suffer so badly for kissing Alexander!

Lately, there have been some stupid rumors about them going around the pack and I didn't want to believe it. However, this happening tonight is suddenly starting to change my mind.

“What is wrong with me? Seriously? Is that what you are asking? Well, why don't you tell me what is wrong with you instead, Alexander? She just forced her dirty lips on you and you are acting like nothing happened? That's so disgusting” I pointed at Sabrina, who I called her lips dirty but she only rolled her eyes and smirked at me, and made me feel like an idiot too.

I didn't really mind her and showed some signs of disgust with the look I made on my face, and then tried to wipe Alexander's lip as if that would help make me feel like the kiss between him and her didn't just happen.

“Stop Kim, I'm fine. Stop, please stop, you have to stop, I said I'm fine, I'm fine, stop, okay?!” Alexander yelled for the second time now and aggressively forced my hands off his lip, pushing me away from him as well. It left me speechless because he wasn't supposed to do that. I was only trying to wipe off the stains of Sabrina's lip on his.

I don't want him smelling like her.

I was almost hurt due to the way he forced my hands off his lips. However, he didn't seem to care about that as he went back to Sabrina to check up on her instead, trying to see if she got hurt from the slap I gave her.

He should do that actually since I made sure to give her one hard satisfying slap.

However, why is it only making me feel jealous more? I asked myself and scoffed and rolled my eyes too, watching the way Alexander cupped Sabrina's cheeks in his palms, and rubbed it as if trying to soothe her of the pain she could be feeling from the slap I gave her.

I bite down on my bottom lip and run my hand through my hair, feeling like a total idiot for real. Is this happening? I should have known that this day would certainly come. There haven't only been signs, but rumors as well, I was the one who simply chose to ignore them all.

“I'm so sorry for that, are you okay?” I heard Alexander ask Sabrina, and it only made my blood boil hotter than it had been since the very moment that kiss happened. I mean how can Alexander care for another female when I was hurting as well right in his presence?

He didn't even seem to care about the fact that he pushed me away just to check on another female, and I went to fight the same female because of him. I'm feeling so stupid right now and I don't even want to talk about it.

My nightmare is finally coming to pass tonight and that is losing him and he knows that. It has always been among my greatest fears. I could feel tears trying to well up in my eyes, but I couldn't let them out, not yet. At least until I figure out what is really going on here first.

However, instead of trying to make things right, Alexander made it worse by sharing a short kiss with Sabrina right after he was done checking the particular spot on her cheek where she got slapped. He went ahead to even wrap his arms around her and embraced her too while I stood helplessly watching them act so lovey-dovey.

My insides instantly churned with jealousy and more hatred for Sabrina at the sight of that. But then watching Alexander, who's the one cuddling her made me want to puke and made my legs want to give out too.

But it also helped me realize something, thinking about it more clearly now. When I first saw Sabrina kiss Alexander, he didn't seem like he wanted it to end. It was as if he wanted it to happen because he snaked an arm around her waist and even closed his eyes too.

I witnessed that happen right before I went to reset her brain with that slap when she separated from Alexander. But maybe, that was him trying to prove that he was unable to resist falling for her in the end. After all, his parents helped and played a big part in making sure that this happened.

“Why?…” My voice cracked, asking to be heard as I just wanted to know the reason why this was happening. Alexander promised that nothing was ever going to come between us, not even his parents who had wanted him to be with Sabrina so they could join forces with her father's pack, who's an Alpha and have much stronger forces together.

Currently, there's a war going on between werewolf tribes and though it hasn't gotten to us yet, there's no guarantee that it wouldn't anytime soon, so it only made sense to Alexander's parents that they get rid of me, after all, I'm only a liability in the pack anyway.

I'm an orphan and it explains very much why they no longer see me of any use. I'm only lucky enough to be a Beta or else they would have gotten rid of me a long time ago.

With my broken heart, I watched Alexander slowly interlock his fingers between Sabrina's and hold her hand while walking toward me, who stood helplessly and watched them act like the newest couple in town.

“Kim, I am…” He stopped right in front of me with her and tried to touch me, but I backed away, lifting my hand and indicating for him not to.

“Don't…” I said, looking at him with red teary eyes.

“Okay…” Alexander shrugged and with no sign of remorse went on to say. “Uhm, I know that this is going to be a little hard for you to accept, but we've been seeing each other behind your back for a long time now. The rumors you complained to me about were always true and I want to say that I'm sorry, but I don't think we can keep on doing this”

“What did you say?” I asked with pain in my heart with the feeling that I was just about to get rejected. I can feel it in my bones and it's every werewolf nightmare.

“Kimberly Peterson, from now on, you and I are no longer one, I reject you”
