Elias walked to a locked cabinet built into the wall. Using an old mechanical key instead of a digital passcode, he unlocked a narrow steel drawer. Inside rested several weathered journals. Paper. Actual paper. Older than most people living inside Zelios. He selected one carefully. The leather cover had almost completely faded. Blood coats my skin and I smile at her with a growl.

Crimson declared with determination. That evening, Crimson made his way to the Queen's Courtyard, resolved to locate Elizabeth Everheart and confront her at last. However, upon reaching her office, he was surprised to find a different woman with dark hair and eyes sitting at the desk—the very same woman who claimed to have discovered Cleo in the cemetery. “Elizabeth is not here,” Sapphire Everheart replied in a cold tone. Crimson wondered what he had done to deserve that chilling reception. “Where is she?” he asked, unable to conceal the irritation he felt.

It was incredibly difficult to discern that went on in that century old heart of hers. I stretched out and received it from her. "That's not all," she spun around, and grabbed a book off the table. She held it out to me again, and I didn't hesitate to take it from her hand. "As promised, I have given you the Crimson heart. And that..." She pointed at the weighty book in my hand. "That's a grimoire, containing research on the blood moon oath. If you go through it diligently, you might find a way to break it without any other kind of substitutions."

The grand chamber that housed the Crimson Heart was a breathtaking sight. Pillars of polished obsidian rose to meet the vaulted ceiling, adorned with intricate carvings that seemed to writhe and shift in the dim light. In the center of the room, upon a pedestal of black stone, lay the Heart itself. It pulsed with an eerie light, radiating an energy that both mesmerized and terrified Aria. Evangeline, draped in her crimson gown, stood before the Heart, her hand outstretched towards it. A malevolent aura emanated from her, crackling with dark energy.

Crimson made a conscious effort to breath as she peered into the trees hoping to get a bit of a warning as to the Dragon's approach. She heard a rustling of leaves off to the right. She whipped around to see... nothing there. She thought she saw a shadow pass between two trees, but perhaps it was only the wind moving the branches. Her fear was mounting.
