Though I expected that Bloodmoon would be a peaceful place for years, I think the last time something big went down here was the massive ‘earthquake’ the Incubi Luna caused when her kid sister, the now Delta female of Bloodmoon, was kidnapped. Maybe that’s why vampires and other species have issues with wolves. The kind of power some of them possess is crazy.

Lucian’s flames ignited. “Say another word about my child.” Azrael laughed. “You still don’t understand, Lucian.” He raised his hand. The sky turned red. A gigantic blood moon appeared above them. Amara’s eyes widened. “That moon…” Azrael’s voice became almost gentle. “Every cycle had a moon.” The moon began cracking. “But this one…” A golden eye opened inside it. “…has a Blood Moon.” Lucian stared upward. Then the golden light inside Amara suddenly pulsed violently.
