At this moment, she heard a rough door open from the other side of the door, and heard the footsteps of several men. At this moment, a man walked out of the balcony with quick steps. Everything was arranged to keep me in a cocoon and restrict my connection with the outside world. I was a minute away from a panic attack when my eyes fell on a balcony. I've been too engrossed in my fear that I hadn't noticed the balcony. I ran towards it with a faint hope. I held to the railing as the midnight breeze tangled my hair strands. I looked down, my acrophobia heightening. The balcony was at least a hundred feet above the rocky ground and in the distance was a dense forest, eerily terrifying. I drew in a sharp breath and backed away from the balcony.

When I see them walk inside with all of Callen’s posse of wolves, I move back to the edge of the ledge. “Welp, with the bedroom door locked, there’s only one way down,” I say a silent prayer to the moon goddess to give me the strength to climb down these balconies safely and unseen. I begin climbing over the balcony in the corner. Hopefully, no one will see me through their balcony windows if I’m climbing down the corner or over to the side of the balcony closest to the corner.
