I felt exposed under his gaze, yet strangely powerful. Damon Torres didn’t look away. He held my eyes across the crowded terrace as he slowly raised his glass in a private toast, the corner of his mouth curving into a knowing, devastating smile. The golden Mediterranean sunset painted sharp shadows across his strong features, highlighting the silver threading through his dark hair and the confident set of his broad shoulders. He was older than Liam by at least fifteen years — early forties, I guessed — but carried himself with the kind of effortless authority that made every man around him seem like a boy.

"Next case." They walked out of the courthouse in silence. The sun was bright. The steps were crowded with people—lawyers, defendants, families waiting for their loved ones. Damian sat down on the stone railing and put his head in his hands. "Kids," Sebastian said. "She wants us to coach kids." "I heard." "I hate kids." Damian looked up. "You ARE a kid." "I'm twenty-nine years old." "You threw a zucchini in your pants at a grocery store. You sang Taylor Swift at karaoke. You got us pulled over for having sex in a car because you yelled 'bit busy, officer' at a cop." Damian stood up. "You are absolutely a child."

Holding onto the railings, he slowly came downstairs. Holly looked at Damian. He looked to be at least 80 years old, which was around Trevor's age. Damian was in a white shirt, and he had silver hair. Although his face was covered in wrinkles, he had a clear gaze when he looked at others. Damian was habitually spinning a pen in his hand. When he arrived downstairs, Trevor nudged Holly toward him and showed her off. "Damie, this is my new mentee, Holly. She's also the Master of Restoration's granddaughter and a talented young lady."

He asked, sitting on the desk in front of me. I was shaking, my hands were sweaty and my whole body was almost letting me out. I was more intimidated by Mr Damien than his goons. “I am twenty four”, I replied, again. “Very good! That means you are supposed to be an adult. At twenty four, you are still under the influence of your mom. Chole is five and she is doing better than this” he spat, harshly. His words were like sharp arrows thrown at me.

I did not expect the person we were meant to meet to be very young. I expected to see an old or middle aged man with a bald head. I did not know why but probably because Luciano told me he is a drug baron. And in the movies I have seen, they are usually old and ugly men with bad sets of teeth. But this man right here seemed to be in his mid twenties or possibly late twenties. He had dirty blonde hair, a tall physique and he was extremely good looking too. "It has been so long hasn't it?" The young drug baron, Damien, let out a guffaw.

, Said the king as he opened the piece of paper and showed it to his trusted minister who was beside him. Everyone was taken aback, especially the ones who were against Damian being the next king. The papers were no ordinary, these were the records of all achievements Damian had gathered to date. Everything was recorded in it. The minister saw it and then passed it along for others to see as well. Damian had gone to the war when he was thirteen, defeated the king of war when fifteen, fight for his land for the next seven years repeatedly. He was on the battlefield all these years, but no one doubted him. And how could they when he concealed his identity and went to fight for his land?

I wonder what he is talking about. “For everyone's sake, I hope you are right." Damien spoke with something in his voice that I couldn't figure out. Sadness maybe? “How old are you?” Damien asked while he reached over to move my hair out of the way so he could, I’m assuming, look at something. “I just turned 18 today.” Talking made my jaw burn hot with pain. His touch slightly soothed it. There was a long pause before the tension in the air changed to confusion. "Uh, Jack?" Damien asked, his voice a mix of confusion and worry.

"Evening, as some of you know and some of you don't, my name is Damien. I'm twenty-seven years old and I am the owner of this place." Raven's mouth dropped, what? How was he so successful at such a young age. Raven lightly poked the girl next to her so that she could get her attention. "What does he do for a living?" she whispered. "He is the CEO of Luxshmier. Don't you know them? They are very popular and that's where he gets his wealth from." "Did he star......." Before Raven could finish her sentence, she was cut off: "Can you speak when it's your turn to make an introduction." said Damien.

“What?! With whose permission?!” “Mine of course,” Damian smirked. “I'm your guardian after all.” “Tsk,” Avery chuckled. “I'm 23 for love's sake! I don't need a guardian.” “Come on, ages are just numbers!” Damian laughed and turned to look at her. “You're still a kid here,” he said, pointing to her head. “And here.” he pointed to her heart. Avery frowned and rolled her eyes. “Where are we going, by the way?”

Arthur asks once more. Damian stopped for a moment and considered if he will tell Arthur. "17," he said, knowing Arthur would freak out. "Oh I see" Arthur stopped and looked at Damian after realizing what he said. "What?" He asked again. Damian looks at Arthur as if saying he won't repeat it anymore. Arthur gasped and covered his open mouth. "You can't be serious right?" Arthur asked again, trying to deny what he just heard. "Don't I look serious?" Damian asked and looked at Arthur with a piercing gaze.
