I muttered under my breath, gripping the glass so hard I thought it might shatter. Four months left. Four months to choose a wife. But right now, all I could see was her. --- (Liam’s POV) The burn of alcohol did nothing to numb the storm inside me. Daniel sat across the table, nursing his drink while I emptied my second bottle like water. Damien’s not an easy man, but you handled it.”

Simon said out of a short breath. "And to think of it your face is unreasonably close". Simon smirked. "Because I'm trying to teach you your place". Daniel glared some more trying to make him coward around him. "No, it's because you're gay". "Daniel I know you're gay". Simon smirked.

“I can do the Heimlich maneuver, sweetie. I am a well prepared man.” She feels her belly contract. For Christ’s sake! How is it possible that a couple of words, which are not sensual at all, sound so provocative, coming from the mouth of Daniel? She sets the piece of Shawarma on the plate and turns her head to meet his penetrating gaze. “My God, Harper!” Daniel mutters.
