The thought of my sister Wilma being in some sort of trouble made me quicken my pace. During class hours, the grounds of Acadia Academy are empty, leaving one to appreciate the beauty and magnificence of its ancient architecture. All of it was like a lonely gothic castle; a very old, marvelous work of architecture that once used to be a cathedral –Dracula’s fortress if you may, just with the exception of the bats. There are pointed arches, stained glass windows, and ribbed vaulting in the commons room, the assembly room, the main library, the cafeteria, and the hallways. The outward structure boasted flying buttresses and gothic spires with two large stone gargoyles guarding the front gates.

“I also love reading. I’ve thought about writing, I just never seem to find the words once I sit down to try.” Sylvia gave me a long look, and I now understood why Graham squirmed under those intense hazel eyes, churning with splotches of emerald and honey. I had a strong feeling that even without the title of Luna, Sylvia was a force to be reckoned with. “Everyone who steps foot into Darkling University becomes something. With careful determination, Dakota searched the chamber, poring over the ancient texts and deciphering the cryptic symbols etched upon the artefacts. Each discovery brought him closer to understanding the rituals and powers wielded by the Twelve. It was a dangerous game, as the risk of discovery loomed overhead, but Dakota pressed on, driven by his love for Claire.

It always seemed to be everyone's favorite spot to torture people, which is why Grayson checks it first. Maverick followed Coal and Grayson into the basement. As they began searching, he slowed his pace and kept a close eye on them. Once they were far enough away, Shade pushed forward and got to work. Maverick slowly turned, his eyes scanning the walls, searching for a spell that he could see through. His hellhound searched the basement, reaching out with his mind to any wolf that may be hiding. It didn't take him long to clear the basement and deem it empty.

Chanco means protectors of the night. The twilight is what they call the shadow realm. The shadow realm is the term given to the plane between day and night; it is a world within itself. The only way I can explain it is a dimension just outside of our reality.

A powerful, unfamiliar magic coursed through her body. "Who did this?" she whispered. Damian's gaze sharpened as he scanned the crowd. "That's what we need to find out. Someone within the academy is using dark forces." The air seemed to freeze. Skylar felt it in her bones-this wasn't a simple incident. It was the beginning of something far bigger. They laughed. Later, heading to night class, Dre stopped. Ethan sensed danger. “We know you’re out there. Come out and talk peacefully,” Ethan announced. They emerged from the dark, uniforms on, deadly weapons in hand. “Fvck—they’re trying to kill us!” Dre cursed. “We know you’re not rich kids. Blackwood Academy is for rich kids. Our parents didn’t attend school to let street urchins join. We sniffed you out,” one man said, his drug addiction evident.
