Third Wheel
It happens all the time.
With jelly on my belly, the tech maneuvers the sensor over my ever-growing girth. Jackson and I anxiously stare at the black and white shadows on the monitor. Our full attention takes in the arms, legs, heads, and bellies as pointed out by the technician. The twins, no longer resembling beans, look like babies now. The tech concentrates on one particular area, rolling the device this way and that. Eventually, he pauses, taking a screenshot with the keyboard. Focusing on the second baby, he repeats the same task. It takes much longer before the tech takes a screenshot on this baby.
