I head out of the bathroom, which I've turned into my make up studio; my clothes and make up strewn all over the place, and through to the living room to find Dean and Holden looking ravishing, sat on the sofa watching tv. The shampoo suds slid down my back as he gently worked the soap out of my hair. When my hair was fully rinsed, he released his hand and reached for the bottle of conditioner, letting me stay in the water as he poured it into his hand. I stepped out, blinking water droplets from my eyelashes as he again worked his hands through my hair. He combed my wet tresses with his fingers, never pulling as he worked the conditioner into every strand of dark hair. It was the most luxurious, and intimate, experience of my life. He leaned me back into the water again, working the conditioner out of my hair in the hot water. I loved Dean for taking care of me when I needed it most.

He tried his last attempt to distract Dean away from that stinking bottle. "The magazine said to be ready early." Dean replied like it was the most natural thing in the world. He wasn't usually the kind to read such crap but it was actually useful. According to the magazine, he should be clean, smell nice. He even washed his car from inside out to make sure it didn't smell. He also changed the tires too. And went as far as to get one of those fancy haircuts which men have in those magazines. Sara wasn't exactly the outdoor, adventurous type so he decided on a long drive instead and maybe to hit the arcade and then get some food.

Though Duke never would have guessed it studying the skeletal creature leveling a pistol at his weeping wife. He had been fastidious about his appearance—getting a haircut every 28 days without fail and only wearing the latest style of clothes he’d had cleaned and pressed at a professional cleaner.
