Moreover, a strong and sharp scent began to assail his senses, making Ravi's legs feel weak, and causing him to slump to the ground, unable to resist. One of the man's sharp-toed shoes pressed against Ravi's shoulder to keep him in place.

“But don't worry! Dying is the first step.” Dead? My blood ran cold. He smirked. “Just don’t do it again.” “This is nonsense. I refuse to listen. Let me out of this fucking insane bus,” I yelled, hitting the metal ground with my right foot. The man was too cold. Too cold to the point you could not look into his eyes for too long. So he knew. “You have one minute,” I said tightly. “Speak fast.” He stepped forward once. No further. “Dante’s building a Death Pack—wolves corrupted by ancient blood rituals. You’ve seen the signs—sudden disappearances, the silence in the Hollow, the attacks that vanish like smoke. He’s not waging war anymore. He’s summoning extinction.” I stiffened. “And you think you’re the answer?” “No.” He dropped to one knee. “You are. But I know your enemies. I know your twins. I know you. And I’m willing to bleed for all three.”

I stare at the lovely city of Manchester as I weigh my options. It’s either bankruptcy and death or marriage and coronation. I guess the latter isn’t much of a bad idea, only it is. Whatever the case, my father’s murders must pay. I have a secret after all, I can hardly die.
