He stretched his hand to serve himself a glass of Vodka stationed casually at the right side of his desk. "Dan made me follow up and find his niece. He told me to get a hold of her DNA. He made me an accomplice of his attempted murder." I continued. The heel of my hand met my forehead as I regretted my decisions. "Were you out of your mind?" Xander questioned. I served myself some whiskey from the same tray that held the vodka. I filled my glass in attempt to swallow down my bitterness, ignoring my father's question.

He had found his answers and offered no resistance when they gathered him up. His story would be passed along until it became fixed, permanent as the forest, the river, thought.
