I knew she will be my weakness so I despised her, thinking it will make the feeling go away but it didn't . It only grew stronger. Then when I kept thinking of how I will see her again. I saw her in that office. I wanted to hug her or even kiss her to tell her how much I loved her but again, I despised her to kill the passion in me. I am such a coward. How can I make her suffer for my weakness.

Every card I laid down felt like a calculated strike, landing exactly where it would cripple his hand. "You… You were pretending all along?" Shawn pointed at me with a trembling finger, his voice a ragged rasp. I ignored him and drew a card. I traced the face of the card with my thumb, my smile widening. "Shawn, do you know the true meaning of despair?" I placed the card face-down on the table without flipping it over. "Despair is when you think you've finally grabbed a rope to pull yourself into heaven, only to look up and realize that it's actually a noose."

“You know why we’re here, Marcus. I asked you a thing before I dropped you here in your misery.” This place has that kind of power that makes anyone who enters it become possessed with an untold amount of misery and sorrow and despair. “I told you already: I don’t know!” A sob tore from his throat, tears leaking from his angry eyes. Whether it was because of the dreadful cold or from this interrogation or just from the plain sight of seeing me, I don’t know. I can’t determine the source of his anger. Or perhaps I don’t need to. Despair often breeds the kind of anger without the need for something or someone to be angry at.

I inform them, and they are hesitant. "Please," I beg as my voice cracks, and they leave one after the other. When Aiden leaves and shuts the door. I burst into tears and curled on the bed and sob like a child, like a worthless child. My chest is so heavy as if i had three bags of cement dumped on my chest. It is so heavy that it is pushing and sinking and drowning me in my despair . I am drowning and waiting to die because I know no one is around to help. I drown deeper and deeper until I am lost.

However, amidst this overwhelming despair, a tiny spark of hope ignites within me, fueling my determination to persevere. Despite my initial belief that someone will come to my rescue and pull me out of this pit of hopelessness, the passage of time has only served to deepen my sense of isolation. The walls that once served as mere boundaries now taunt me, reflecting my desperate pleas for help and amplifying my despair. Any glimmer of hope that once sustained me, like a flickering candle in the darkness, has now vanished into nothingness.

I nod weakly, feeling defeated and exhausted by the endless cycle of hope and disappointment. “It's okay.” I whisper, forcing a smile despite the overwhelming sense of despair that threatens to consume me. “We'll keep trying. We won't give up until we find a cure.” But deep down, I can't shake the feeling of dread that gnaws at my insides, the fear that no matter what we do, it won't be enough to save me. And as the days pass and my condition continues to worsen, that fear only grows stronger, until it feels like a heavy weight pressing down on my chest, suffocating me with its suffocating presence.

I still can’t accept that I’m just…this while the people who hurt me have been thriving and living their best lives. I gritted my teeth. “You know nothing,” I tell him before gathering my things to leave. I can no longer stand being in the same space as him. He reminds me of things that I want to forget. “Stop acting like you care because you don’t! You’re despicable. I despise you.”

The walls seemed to be closing in on me. The weight of my despair had pressed down on me until I thought it might crush me altogether. The thought echoed in my mind: "He's not coming back for you. He's forgotten about you," Noah's words repeated, over and over again, like some cruel, taunting melody. I wanted to scream, to tear my hair out, to get away from the relentless torture of these thoughts. That sense of desperation was so huge, so choking, that it almost took away my breath.

Death says "Well, I mean, you look like a normal human to me and Mika said if someone looked at you they would see their worst nightmare and that humans can't see you, so what the fuck did you expect?" I ask him, leaning on my arms as if to tell him to actually tell me what he expected. He pursed his lips and crossed his arms over his chest, but his golden eyes twinkled. "Stupid golden eyes," I grumble crossing my arms Aphrodite, Hera, and Demeter sat beside me, "I like her," Aphrodite said wrapping her arms around me in a hug and I hugged back looking around awkwardly making Poseidon laugh

"And... And he just killed the girl I was about to lose my virginity with." As I was thinking all this, I heard someone's voice. "Son, do not fall to despair yet. It is too soon for that." I sat up and looked around to look if someone was there, but there was no one. "You have to find the wish fish and break the curse. Do not lose your hope until you do it." Where was the voice coming from? What curse was he talking about? "Who are you? Show yourself," I called out. "I am not there. Only you can hear my voice right now."
