The wind that swept through Deira carried an omen: The devil had stirred, and the kingdom would soon tremble.

Sophia's POV There was enmity between the werewolves and vampires, but what we had for the demons was way deeper than hatred. We all dread them and regard them as enemies to the moon goddess because they worship the devil. In history, it was said that the devil almost raped the moon goddess out of lust for her beauty. The supreme one divided them, giving each the power to create their own living being who would be under them.

I felt the air get sucked out of the room. "He is a silent devil in human form," Lena continued. "Dangerous beyond belief. You've barely scratched the surface of who he is, Selene." She looked down at me, her face unreadable. "You might think I’m cruel. But he? He’s cruelty wrapped in charm and dressed in a thousand-dollar suit. He doesn’t do mercy. He doesn’t do forgiveness. And yet... here you are. Still breathing. Still untouched." I didn’t know whether to feel relieved or terrified.

I didn’t even have to look to feel her fury. I glanced over my shoulder yep. There she was, stiff as a board, face pale with shock before it turned a furious red. “You’re joking,” she hissed. “He sent him for her?” Caleb arched a brow at her like she wasn’t even worth the oxygen. I swallowed hard. My hands shook as I grabbed my coat. No way in hell Voss would actually sent for her! Zara half shrieked "C'mon Zara, I think you're over reacting" Delilah complained

She ran away and left her alone in the hands of this demon. She looked at Eric who had a devilish smile on his face, then stared down at her stomach. ‘Maybe you were meant to be a mafia after all.’

"And what if you are?" His lips curved. Dark. Dangerous. "Then you should pray, Elena Rossi. Because the devil does not let go of what belongs to him." He turned and walked away. I stood there frozen, realizing I had walked into a cage made of gold and glass. And the devil held the only key.

She tries to escape, but what she sees on looking through the window causes her bones to melt. It was similar to how she found her pack, in flames, but this was an inferno, and the weird part was, there were people moving about, like it wasn't a blazing fire. Just then, Lord Hades' words when she called him the devil replayed in her head. “Of course I'm the devil himself!” “Oh, goddess, oh Selene. Please, and please, and please. Get me out of here. No, how did my father get involved with the devil?”

In one fluid motion, he crossed the room and slammed Veronica against the wall, his hand gripping her throat with frightening force. She gasped, her hands clawing at his, but his grip was unyielding. “Never raise your voice at me,” he growled, his voice low and deadly. “You do not control me. You do not tell me what to do. I am the Devil. I am Dominique Blackwood. No one tells me what to do.” His grip tightened for a brief, terrifying moment before he released her, letting her crumble to the floor, choking and gasping for air.

replied the leader of the elders. "Haa... I really hate them!" Several elders deeply resented the princes' attitude towards their group. They had good reason to hate them, because the group of princes above the devil princess always considered the devil princess to be weak and merely a tool. But what they didn't know was that the devil princess was much stronger and smarter than the devil gods above her. Otherwise, how could the devil princess, born of the last concubine, possess so much secret power in the devil realm, and how could the younger devil princess survive until now if not for her abilities?

Mom asks out of partial curiosity as she sinks into the couch, her legs crossed on the island table. "She's old, full of wrinkles, and can barely lift a cup, and me?" I give a little twirl, "I am young, succulent, and beautiful. A typical Aphrodite's rebirth and might I add, a goddess in bed." I wink at the last part and she makes a gagging expression. "You need prayers, Adelina," she shakes her head, "In fact, you are a lost cause. A full session of exorcism can't even save you."
