A Daughter’s Revenge

A Daughter’s Revenge

” Asteria’s voice, solid and unbreaking, as she calls out. “I call to you, as a daughter from your line, blessed by the Goddess! I call to you as Iris Delos Asteria! Your daughter, your blood!” She continues. “Hear her name and heed her call! Aurora Eos Ceres! Hear us!” Asteria calls. “Her wolf, an extension of herself. Hear her name and heed her call! Arrina Cyra Theia! Hear us! Our names now spoken, so shall they be heard!” The wind whips around the circle, now populated with the women of my line, apparitions circled around us hold hands.

The Pack's Dragon

The Pack's Dragon

“The Triple Goddess, the goddess of Past, Future and Present. The Morrigan, the Goddess of war and death, but also fertility. I guess… I guess I knew that. Talen has suspected and hinted it from the beginning.” “He comes from a very religious sect of vampires,” Stella observed. “He says he’s not, though. Or something like that. About how faith is tested over time, and how he sort of stopped worshipping,” Aislen took a bite of her sandwich. “Though, I guess, that might have changed recently with all this talk of Emissaries and gods and goddesses. And Delwyn’s here now.” “Yes, Delwyn,” Stella’s voice changed subtly on the word. “You don’t like her?” Aislen lifted an eyebrow.

Cursed by the Moon Goddess.

Cursed by the Moon Goddess.

Where the goddess blessed me with Zirah. What does it say for our relationship if I could forget that I had a fiancee until something had to remind me? "Damon." Peytr still stood while he called my attention. He was the only one allowed to call me by name as he was much older than I am and due to the fact we're almost family.

Fated Moon Wolves

Fated Moon Wolves

She had striking, brilliant golden hair, and eyes that were a piercing, unmistakable mix of green and blue. Beside her stood a man named Rain, his face etched with grim determination as he fought off Draco's guards. The vision shifted rapidly, flooding my mind with ancient prophecies. This girl... her name was Elle. She was the destined downfall of the Witches of the Woods, a force that would tear my beloved coven apart—but she was also the ultimate weapon, the only soul powerful enough to finally kill my mother, Isolde.

And as for Serina, she was only introduced into four of them — including her late master. Euphemia, the Witch of Vanity. She rose from the land of the Soil governed by the God of Humility. Helga, hailed as the Witch of Treachery was a native of the land of Thunder, dominated by the God of Pledge. Prima, who originated from the land of Nature, was later dubbed as the Witch of Greed — in contrast to their God's principle: Charity.

MATED TO THE RUTHLESS LYCAN KING

Herculia asked. “Who is the next Immortal on our list?” Nicole asked. “Let's see, we’re supposed to find Avia Ignius, the Immortal of Phoenix Magic; Episteme Psyches, the Immortal of knowledge; and Edith Anima, the Immortal of life and light. The moon goddess said these Immortals are easy to find, and we don't really need to do anything. We could just give Daniela a phone call and wait for the other two to cross paths with us,” Mary replied.

Legendary Goddess

I asked. "I'm sorry, there is only one, and there is no other way for you to survive there. And the way is to stop the person who holds that power, " said the king. And Hell Illusion Eyes is the most powerful power in the world of magic; only a legendary goddess can wield it, and no previous legendary goddess has ever wielded it. Only Sophie has this kind of enormous power, " said the king. "Sophie's power is called infinite power, or, in other words, eternal power, and Sophie is the first creature to have such power, " the king added.

Voice of Vengeance

He chuckles, as he wraps the towel around me. “Yes, she is, and her name is Coventina,” I say, beaming at him. “Coventina? Really? Do you know the origin of that name?” He asks, a look of nervousness on his face. “Um, no?” “Coventina is the Goddess of water.” My jaw drops. That’s just a coincidence, right? Like I know Auntie Morrigan’s adoptive name was not a coincidence, she really is the Goddess of War reincarnated.

The Night Known As You

The Night Known As You

Amber started as she tilted her head left to right in an unsure way. " There's a God of Love?!" Manor choked out through a cough. " I heard of Zagerust God of curiosity, Givendale God of peace, Asil Luna Goddess of Healing, Lexi Bathory God of Virtue, Exinious God of War and Helder God of Knowledge but not Rhane..." I listed all the gods on one hand but failed to recall this Rhane. " You're forgetting about Misaki." Manor barked. " What is she, god of again?" Terrius wondered out loud.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've always found classical names scarier than obviously dark ones. Something about an innocent-sounding name hiding a monster hits harder. 'Dolores', which literally means sorrows, sends a chill. 'Hecate' for witchy vibes, obviously, but also 'Morwenna'—it sounds cold and ancient. I read a book where the villainess was just 'Mrs. Coulter' and the sheer normalcy of it was terrifying.

Modern names can work if they're used right. A 'Briar' isn't inherently evil, but if she's pricking everyone with her thorns, it clicks. I'd avoid anything that sounds like a fantasy RPG auto-generate, like 'Morrigana' or 'Vexia'. Too on the nose. The fear comes from the gap between the name and the deeds.

Gothic literature is full of great ones. 'Madame de la Rougierre' from a Le Fanu novel. The name itself is almost slimy to say. That's the intrigue part for me—a name you can taste, and it tastes bitter.
