His fingertips were glowing orange but with a few more shakes, his reddened skin appeared from underneath that shine. Dustin stood on our left, at some distance, looking ahead. I followed his line of sight, but all my eyes met was the Dark Veil that hid the trees.

We headed downstairs just in time before the doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of the first alpha. The first to arrive was Strider from the Stormborn Pack. He had jet black unruly hair and bright blue eyes that were almost clear. His aura was imposing, even if he was on the shorter side. I still had to crane my neck to look up at him. If I half squinted my eyes, he almost looked a little like Ethan.

While he dressed, he heard a faint knock on the door and caught a whiff of their mate's scent. Opening the door, Tricc was struck by Dirk's stunning appearance. Dirk's golden hair was pulled back into a simple ponytail, revealing a slender strip of skin to the world, with a lone strand swaying gently in the breeze. His dark, deep golden eyes gazed at Tricc with longing and concern. Dressed in a loose pale green T-shirt that accentuated his broad shoulders and showcased every muscle, and snug black jeans that highlighted his lean, muscular thighs and hips, Dirk exuded charm. Even his feet were clad in worn, faded grey sneakers.

That should be able to calm his raging headache before he enters the shower. He opted for cool water; that should be enough to wake him up. He wore a dark shirt and brown pants and completed the look with his sunshade. The shades will be his most important asset today, because not only was he going to block the harsh rays of the sun, but it was also going to prevent people from seeing his red eyes.

The countdown had begun. The first rays of dawn painted the sky in hues of blood orange and bruised purple, casting long, ominous shadows across the battlefield. The air hung heavy with the scent of pine and damp earth, a stark contrast to the metallic tang of blood that would soon saturate the air. The Shadow Stalkers, a formidable force cloaked in darkness and malice, emerged from the depths of the whispering woods, their numbers seemingly endless, a tide of black fur and burning eyes. Their leader, a hulking behemoth with eyes like chips of obsidian, stood at the forefront, his snarls echoing through the silent forest.

Chapter One: A New Beginning Aqua’s heart raced as she walked through the imposing iron gates of Crestwood High. Another town, another school, another chance to start over—if only it were that simple. At 5'10", her presence commanded attention, but she preferred to stay unnoticed. Her dark skin glowed under the morning sun, and her eyes, a striking shade of amber, held secrets untold. She knew Kai would be there. He was waiting near the rocks, shirtless, wearing only swim shorts. His tattoos looked even darker in the bright sunlight. The moment their eyes met, the air between them thickened. “You came,” Kai said, his voice low. He stepped closer, eyes moving over her body. She was wearing a light sundress with nothing underneath. “I shouldn’t have,” Aria whispered, but she didn’t move away. “David is right there in the villa. If he wakes up and looks for me…”

I hadn't expected it but she shot a subtle smile back at me, "Sin's in another room, he'll be done soon. Don't make him wait, he seemed angry." Quickly going back into the shower and getting dressed I came back and found him sitting on the sofa while Nadia looked out the window. "Good. You're here." Sinister stated looking at me as if nothing had happened between us. I took in his attire, it was different yet a nice look on him. His dark damp hair tousled perfectly, dark jeans, charcoal grey T-shirt and a black leather jacket. It was weird not seeing him in a suit yet it was refreshing seeing the monster in this style.

LILA’S POV Sunlight slipped through the heavy hotel curtains and painted soft stripes across the bed. I woke up first, my body still humming from the night before. Zane slept peacefully beside me, chest rising and falling in steady rhythm. His dark curly hair fell across his forehead, and the usual tension around his eyes had disappeared. He looked younger like this, almost vulnerable.
