James began. And he really should have learned his lesson about being vague about certain details, since he's assuming most of the reason for the problem they're in right now is because of how vague he was with Elizabeth when they'd been together before. But he couldn't exactly tell Elizabeth that she herself was having memory problems, now could he? James cleared his throat, deciding. "I have a friend," he repeated. "And I think he's having some memory problems. I can't explain it, he seems to remember events and things happening, but it's twisted a little. Like, certain details about the thing is wrong, or left out."

I realized that the only other thing capable of keeping Mia quite was food. As they ate, Lily and Mia exchanged stories about their morning classes. Lily recounted her hilarious encounter with Mr. Thompson, the quirky history teacher who had a penchant for wearing mismatched socks. Mia, on the other hand, regaled Lily with tales of Mrs. Peters, the eccentric art teacher who insisted that everyone address her as "Madame Picasso."

Charlotte followed, and Griffith lingered at the back, surrounded by his bodyguards. As the crowd grew denser, Ash turned to Charlotte and said, "Please keep an eye on Young Master. He's not accustomed to this kind of place." Charlotte was speechless. He's not a child who needs someone to accompany him, right? Reluctantly, she agreed and glanced at Griffith, seeing him follow along without a word. Soon, Disney characters appeared, drawing cheers from their fans. Charlotte patiently waited for Minnie Mouse. As the crowd swelled, she unconsciously moved backward, unintentionally putting a few people between herself and Griffith.

I tried opposing what she said, she then busted out into laughter. "You think you can avoid destiny? The man who is right here is going to die. You experienced him losing his memory, and gaining it back. There would be a time that he would forget about you completely." She fired back at me, while she brought out some of the cowries that was covered in a wh ite cloth.

Elijah didn't know what I was laughing at, but he laughed too. But as we laughed, I had this feeling that I'd forgotten something. "Sadie." Someone called me from behind. "Why haven't you come to see me these past few days?" I turned around and saw a pale-faced guy in a wheelchair. As I stared at him, fragments of memories slowly surfaced. I remembered now. He was Caleb. "Did you forget me?" It was the first time I'd ever seen fear in Caleb's eyes. I smiled. "No. You're Caleb."
