Chapter Four.
Anastasia's Point Of View.
"Yayy, I never expected it to be honest. I already gave up especially the fact that I came late that morning." I squealed in excitement as I told Susan my ordeal today.
"I can't believe I made it." I kept on muttering.
"You know it is not going to be easy work for him." She said to me as I nodded.
I know it is not easy to be a personal assistant but I have to do it. The scheduling and all and going to different events with him meeting with different kinds of billionaires.
Same time I must find time for my child because I will never follow in my parents' footsteps, they never had time for me.
"So how is he in real life?" Susan asked as I sat up well.
"He is fuckin cute, way more handsome than when I saw him on the phone. I couldn't stop staring at him when I got there, he has the same eyes as my daughter." I said to her as she chuckled.
"What if he is the father of your baby?" She asked with a serious face as I stopped smiling. It was then she busted into laughter and we both laughed.
We know that can't be possible, there must be some people who have the same eyes as my daughter but it will be rare.
He is not someone that can just have sex with any lady because of his reputation and I'm very sure he can't go to such a hotel.
"It was stated that he has never had a girlfriend, even a lot of girls tried to seduce him already but he didn't bulge," Susan told me.
"Maybe he has his reasons, or he may want to be a priest and serve God for the rest of his life." She teased as I sighed.
"I need to find out more about him," I said to myself.
"There is also something that I heard." She stated as I lay back on the couch waiting for her to say whatever she heard.
"I heard he is a Werewolf." She said.
"No wonder he has those unique eyes, I don't think I have ever met a Werewolf before though." I scoffed.
I met one today.
"He also has a friend who loves him so much, everyone knows how much she loves him but unfortunately it is one-sided love." She said.
I feel pathetic for the girl. People knew that she was in love with him which means she must have loved him so much.
"Still looking for a perfect school for Ashley." I brought up a conversation changing the topic.
"Leave that to me, do you want an expensive school?" She asked me. I didn't want to enroll my kid in a public school for now.
"As long as it is good," I told her as she stood up and left.
My mind went back to the handsome figure I saw today, so I would be seeing him every day.
How much is he rich anyway?
*The Following Week*
I am resuming today, I had to put on something presentable. I wore a long flared trouser with my suit and inner.
"Does it look as if I am too much?" I asked Susan that is in the room.
"This is okay, I love it. As the personal assistant to the CEO putting on clothes like this isn't bad, it's good." She told me as I smiled.
"Make sure you work to his satisfaction." She said to me as I walked out of the room.
"Besides, I'm taking one of your cars." I showed my face as I told her.
"Nah, isn't the company supposed to give you a car?" She asked me as I rolled my eyes.
I took the car keys as I walked out of the house.
I drove to the office I parked my car in the parking space and went inside the company. The last time I came here, I didn't get to look at the company since I was rushing.
I could see it very well now. I saw a transparent elevator that was in the company, I could see the people who were inside. There is the normal elevator there also.
It all looked good. I walked to the elevator as the elevator door chimes I went to the highest floor and that is where his office was.
"Good morning." I greeted his secretary who was in the hallway.
"Miss Anastasia." The secretary asked as I walked to where she was.
"Where will I be staying and where will I start working from," I asked her as I got so curious to know.
"I don't know if Mr.Tristan will be giving you an office where you will be staying or..."
"She will be staying in my office." I heard the deep familiar voice behind me, I looked over my shoulder and I saw him standing there.
I faced him quickly bowing my head. Cassie stood up and bowed her head while I did the same. I couldn't even maintain eye contact with him.
"Uhn!" I muttered as he walked into his office.
"I will get going now, ma'am," I said to the secretary as I walked to Tristan's back.
He even has a nice physique, I guess he must be a gym person. He was in his office already as he walked towards his seat and we were facing each other already.
"Your desk will be brought in soon so don't need to worry." He said to me without even looking at me.
This wasn't the same way he was behaving when we met the other day, I thought he would be this friendly boss but he looked strict.
"I'm curious about something," I said wanting to ask the most important question.
"What is it?" He asked me.
"What time do I leave the company?" I asked him.
"Anytime I'm leaving." He said as I furrowed my brows.
"Yeah, I do leave the office around 10 pm so by then you can go home." He replied to me. I guess he must have noticed how confused I was.
10 pm? My child would have been asleep by then.
"I'm sorry sir maybe I should turn down the offer, I can't stay here till 10 pm," I said the Truth to him as he sighed.
"If I may ask what is your reason?" He asked me.
I should just tell him the truth, I should be proud of my baby girl.
"I have a daughter and as a mother, I should spend more time with her!" I explained to him and he nodded.
"Then she can come to the office from school, all her needs will be taken care of." He assured me.
"What will I start doing as your assistant," I asked him shrugging the case off. I am lucky to be working with you and I should be happy.
"Uhm taking care of my personal needs and telling me all the plans. You should meet Cassie she will put you through." He answered and here I was trying this figure out who the hell Cassie was.
Is she the secretary or the lady that was here the other day?
"She is the secretary." He answered me, it was as if he could read my mind.
"Okay, I will go meet her now," I said turning my back towards him wanting to walk out of the room.
"Who is the father of your child?" He asked me when I was almost out of the office.
Why would he ask such personal questions, I turned back to him. There must be a particular reason why he is asking me that kind of question.
Should I tell him the truth or I should just lie to him and go? Or I shouldn't reply to him at all.
Chapter Five. Anastasia's Pov. Who is the father of your child?" He asked me on my way out of the office. Why would he ask such personal questions, I turned back at him. I felt he was joking at first, but he looked so serious. Should I tell him the truth or I should just lie to him and go? Or I shouldn't reply to him at all? Will I lose my job if I do not tell him the truth? "Sir, I don't think I should be asked that question. I came here to work. Asking such questions might be an invasion of my privacy." I blurted out forgetting he was the one employing me. After all the questions I asked myself, I still ended up saying what I was not supposed to say. "I'm so sorry if I had said what I am not supposed to." I apologized immediately I realized I said. "It's okay, I guess I was the one who made a mistake. You can get going now." Tristan apologized to me the focusing on what he was working on. I hurriedly walked out of the room with my face all red. I took a huge sigh of relief r
Chapter Six. Anastasia's Point Of View. I quickly ran out of the room in fear and shock. "Uhm, It's the boss. He's dying." I told Cassie immediately after I came out of the room. I didn't know who to go and meet at that moment. Why would he ask such personal questions? I turned back to him. I felt he was joking at first, but he looked so serious. Should I tell him the truth, or just lie to him and go? Or shouldn't I reply to him at all? "Sir, I don't think I should be asked that question. I came here to work. Chapter Seven. Anastasia's POV. "What's happening? Why are you here? Why are you panicking?" Cassie questioned me immediately after she saw me panicking. I pointed to his office, trying to talk. I didn't even know how I was going to construct the statement. Furthermore, I didn't know if I poisoned him or something else. People might think I poisoned him when I didn't even do anything. "I think I poisoned Tristan, he is currently dying. I don't know what I did wrong... I, uh, I have him a coffee, and then he is groaning in pain currently...I...I...I think it must have been from where I got it from." I stuttered. Not only that, but I could see her standing up "You did what?" Cassie asked in shock, dropping the pen that was in her hands. It was then that I heard the slamming of the door, it turned out that Penelope had already rushed inside his office "On your first day?" Cassie stood up and hurriedly walked into the room. I just stood out, wondering what was going to happen to me
Chapter Eight. Tristan's POV. "What do you mean by saying I should quit my job?" She questioned me. She must be really shocked, but I guess she must have misunderstood me. "No, that isn't what I meant. You can quit this job, and then I will just help you find another one. It is very easy. I have some friends in some companies that could help with it." I had to make it clear to her. Likewise, I don't want to feel like I'm chasing her away. I don't really want her to go, I want her to stay here. I don't know why "Sir, as I have said, I would respect it if you would be able to respect the fact that I have a daughter that I really love, and everything we have together in common is the business." She said to me then how her head. I don't know why I am concerned with her issues. I just feel like she was the one I slept with for the last few years. It was that scent, it would never get off my head. "Okay, I'm sorry if I intrude into your privacy." He apologized "I will get going no
Chapter Nine. Anastasia's POV. I helped him with his tie, and it was then our eyes met. We maintained eye contact for a little time. I'm awful when it comes to maintaining eye contact. There is no way I would stop staring at him! I am not accepting defeat. His stares were beginning to get so intense. I just stood there and kept staring at him. I am sure he could see how my eyes were filled with admiration. I wouldn't stop admiring his eyes, like I have always done for my daughter. I blinked my eyes and looked down. He won, and I am going to challenge him another day. I don't know why I am terrible at maintaining eye contact. Is it really that bad? Is this some sort of staring competition? I can't believe he won instead. It wasn't my fault, though, his glare was so intense filled without any emotion. "This looks good." I broke the silence, then we both walked out of the room, while I followed him like a bodyguard at his back. He didn't even say, "Thank you." "Why would he s

Chapter 10. Anastasia's POV. I waited in the office as Tristan commanded me to. He told me not to leave my office. "Why would you want to bring a child into the office? Do you know what the world might say?" I heard Penelope's voice as she followed Tristan into the office after a few minutes. I saw Tristan holding my kid's wrist. "Mummy!" Ashley removed her hands from his grasp, and she ran towards where I was giving a very huge hug. "I really miss you, momma." Ashley gave me a huge hug while I was sitting. I noticed the two friends had stopped arguing. It turned out they were staring at me. "You see? Why do you always like this whenever you are around her? I have always been the one protecting your reputation ! This is how you repay me?" Penelope shouted at Tristan. How is he whenever he's with me? Does she even know what she is saying at all? "This is not about repaying, and who told you she was staying in my office?" "This is my business, not yours. I also hate it whenev
Chapter 11. Tristan's POV. "What the hell is going on?" I shouted. "Can all of you excuse me for a moment?" I told them, calming my nerves down, then slowly sitting back on my seat. "Tristan! This is an important matter!" Penelope told me. I know how important that can be. Killing rampage? "I need all of you to get out, including the police." I instructed them. "Sir, we need to speak with the person we are here for assaulting one of the workers in this place. " The police stated. "Except from you, Anastasia." I stated before she could walk out. Why is Penelope looking at me that way? If there are several problems, it will be right to take one and attend to it first. Anastasia looked so scared, does she think I'm going to bite her? I don't understand this reaction of hers. Where did her confidence run to? "What's with the Police case?" I looked at her disgustingly, asking her the question. "If you know you want to start asking me questions, I would rather follow the Policeme
