“I saw a black SUV outside your place. Looked expensive and definitely not your mom’s taste.”
I ripped open the bag of chips. The salt and crunch felt good.
“That was Theo,” I said. “Dominic’s cousin just moved to the city.”
Mia looked interested. “Dominic’s cousin, huh? Is he hot? Like, Dominic-hot or just normal-hot?”
I chewed my chips slowly. I avoided looking at Mia, staring out the window instead.
“He’s hot,” I admitted. “Tall, dark hair, really confident. The kind of confidence that just means he’s a jerk, he’s arrogant.”
