Loving the Wrong One
A spark of hope flashed in his eyes, then my following line doused it.
"We never had a child. That's the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me. Please stop bothering me."
Finn's parents arrived just then and took him back to the ward. They apologized over and over. "We're sorry. Finn is sick and continues to do things that trouble you. Sylvia, tell me honestly, is there really no chance for you two?"
His parents had treated me well in my previous life.
I looked at them and said seriously, "Mr. and Mrs. Dawson, I'm married now. I have a husband and a son. Even if I weren't married, I still wouldn't be with Finn. I don't love him anymore."
