Alicia decided she had to see if he was still conscious before determining if she could help him or not. One quiet step at a time, Alicia came upon the dragon. He was blue, purple, and green and his skin shone in the sunlight like oil. Being a girl who knew no fear, she carefully reached a hand out to touch him. After all, it was not every day that you got to touch a dragon, she thought. He didn’t open his eyes when she gently touched the side of his face. That gave her courage to examine him. Alicia had hopes to be a Doctor of Animals, but she knew that was just a dream. No one would take a woman seriously.

A low, terrifying growl rumbled from his throat. "I won't let you leave! No matter what happens, I won't let you go!" Draco had rested his wolf head in my lap countless times, and I had loved his warmth. But now, I felt nothing but raw terror looking at his enormous wolf head drawing near. I finally understood that Draco's gentleness existed only because I was his pet and a delicate plaything that needed careful handling. The moment I slipped out of his control, he would easily tear me apart or force me back onto the toy shelf with strength no human could resist.

Ferdinand was dumbstruck, filling the silence with whatever words linked up on his tongue. “Sure.” Draco acknowledged his statement. “You look… powerful.” Ferdinand hadn’t seen the old dragon since the reign of the old tyrant king… no, a couple of years ago when he asked for the nails. Draco hadn’t aged a day, his skin covered in bright ink, his eyes liquid tar, his arrogant face. “You look so much like your father,” Draco noted. “The old tyranny who dares to injure my baby son.” He ground his teeth at the last sentence. “I hear they call you the Ambitious Emperor of The Unknown now.”

He turned around gave me a naughty look and ordered me to do the same. Before I even tried to remove my robe, he had already shifted into his wolf. Drako was really great! His fur was dark blue and he was huge. His gray eyes shone in the night. He came closer to me and licked my hand with his muzzle while I hesitantly stroked his head.

No, you wouldn’t, because you’re feral all the time. I held out a hand to stop Orion from scooping me up. “I’m fine. My wolf is having a moment. She expected us to be more excited.” Draco’s lips lifted. In the dim firelight, his hair glowed like spider silk. “I and my beast are very excited to meet her. Has she told you her name?” ‘And that ladies and Gods is why the big one is my favorite.’

Draco, though he had a seemingly young look, is a 700 years old vampire and he had the foresight of a shaman. A soft creaking sound pulled me from my reverie as Draco began his daily rituals, his deep voice resonating with power as he immersed himself in his meditation and spells. This was my cue; the moment I had been patiently waiting for. With careful precision, I slipped out of bed, my movements quiet and calculated. I couldn't bear the thought of getting caught slipping away from the house. Draco would be wild with rage if he caught me.

Also, I would like to see how loyal my newest pet was. Adrienne lowered his head and eyes. "Forgive me." I pointed at the dagger my pet held before looking him in the eye. "Do not lose that. Only three of its kind have been forged and this is the last. Only that can harm the Fae dragon. Just a scratch is lethal enough to a regular Fae. One blow should do the trick. Can I trust you with this?" He tilted his head to and observed my face for a bit. "Yes. I will not misplace your trust."

“Mr. Draco’s circulatory system was damaged, yet he is still able to maintain his master-level prowess. May I presume that he was a grandmaster at the peak of his health?” Mr. Draco narrowed his eyes and got on his knees. “Dr. Kayson, I beg you to heal me! I, Skye Draco, am willing to forever be your follower!” Mr. Draco’s full name was Skye Draco. “Are you the “Dragon Slayer” who has gone missing for the past few years?” Jeremy was surprised.

There’s one door that is shut, that door leads up to the bedroom. "This is my home, there's only one bedroom so ma'am you take my bedroom and Suki and I will stay in the living room." He picks up the small dog which is circling around his leg. "It's cute." She says looking at the dog. "Yeah she's Suki, she's a great companion." He says kissing the dog. She smiles and slowly sits on the couch holding her head. There is a hammering pain in her head, maybe it is because of all the stress and crying. "Do you have a headache?" He puts the dog down. "No um.. yeah a little bit." She looks up at him. "Okay you sit here I will be back." He walks away and disappears in the kitchen area.

Ragnar took after her with his fiery temper and the telltale bulk that spoke of his dragon heritage. Whereas Gio was smaller, with dark eyes that changed color according to his mood, and there was no doubt that he held his father's wolf genes. Mixed species couples were killed on sight in Desdayos, and as the war reached the inner sanctum, a difficult decision needed to be made.
