As she drew closer, the dragon's eyes flickered open, and he regarded her with a piercing gaze. Dynaris stood tall, her voice clear and steady. "I mean you no harm, noble dragon. I'm on a quest to reclaim the ancient dragon throne." The dragon's gaze narrowed, his voice low and rumbling. "Many have come before you, seeking to claim the throne. But few have succeeded. Are you prepared to face the trials that lie ahead?" Dynaris nodded, her determination evident. "I'm ready.”

Cory took a deep breath and told her they needed to go see the royal family. “Come with me, I will dry your clothes,” he told her. Cory transformed into his dragon and blew very gently so warm air came out without fire. It blew her hair and clothing dry within seconds. Alicia dressed, folded up Cory’s clothing and climbed up on the dragon’s back. They quickly soared back to the castle.
