Dragon Meets Phoenix Novels & Stories

I ask, making her hiss at me. She spins, trying to follow my movements as I take in the space. Before Phoenix told me that I needed to wait for my mate and that my patience would one day pay off, I had attempted to claim several dragons, including Ajax and Ancalagon. Both were magnificent fighters. I nearly died trying to claim Ancalagon. This time, however, I have a decided advantage. Nova is my mate. She may have only just sensed that I’m her mate, but I know from the many classes I’ve taken that no dragon will kill their mate in a claiming battle. That, and her limited space to maneuver in the dining hall, are my biggest advantages.

’ James looked at him in shock. Suddenly, he asked, “So who’s stronger? The first peacock or phoenix?” Yrian smiled, shook his head, and said, “Phoenix? Everyone might think the phoenix came before the peacock. However, that’s not the case. They both existed way before the different worlds existed. There is no specific order.” Then, he pointed outside the hall and said, “Phoenixes aren’t anything special here. Here, they are just pets and mounts.” James’ jaw dropped in shock, and he pondered, ‘The powerful and legendary beings were merely pets and mounts? Then, are the Azure Dragons, White Tigers, Vermilion Birds, and Black Tortoises not even worthy of being mounts?

Even the claws, depicted with sharp precision, seemed ready to rend stone or flesh with equal ease. The dragon's wings were a masterpiece of artistry, spanning wide across Phoenix's back. The wings were composed of leathery membranes stretched between elongated bones. Veins and ridges crisscrossed the membranes, giving them an appearance that suggested aerodynamic efficiency. As Astrid's gaze trailed down from Phoenix's back to his forearm, she discovered another piece of art etched into his skin. A Celtic knot design graced his arm, its elaborate twists and turns captivating her attention like a labyrinth of ancient lore.

The system responded to Quickstep. 1. Phoenixes – These epic creatures was born out of the sun. They have constant regeneration during the day and are fabled for their speed and power. They are near impossible to kill because even when death takes them once, they can affect a rebirth and raise hell on the battlefield once more. 2. Dragons – a dragon is a treasure of any country. They became popular because of their thick scales which form an impenetrable defense. They fly above all and torch their enemies with their fiery breath. In every era, the legends of these ferocious creatures have spread throughout the realms.

"Elder Logan, what exactly is going on?" Lilian Yanes asked anxiously. "The so-called harmony of the dragon and phoenix at Phoenix Cry Mountain is a false legend. The truth is that the mountain holds the soul of a phoenix and the power of a dragon vein, both trying to devour each other," Elder Logan said, his face filled with worry. Lilian felt her head spin with this revelation but still asked, unwilling to accept it, "Is it really not the harmonious legend of the dragon and phoenix?"

Altair, eyes narrowed in thought, asked the dragon, "How did the Phoenix's essence end up separated from you in the first place?" The dragon let out a deep, melancholic sigh, causing the trees around us to shiver. "Centuries ago, a rift occurred, born from the conflicting desires of the inhabitants of Meranthia. In the ensuing chaos, the Phoenix sacrificed a part of its essence to seal the rift, leading to our separation." Elder Aria stepped forward, her voice carrying an ancient wisdom. "The world moves in cycles. Maybe this is Meranthia's way of healing, of mending old wounds. The Phoenix Feather's appearance might be a sign that it's time to restore what was once lost."

I quickly changed into the new clothes. I was still astonished. "What the hell just happened? What had I shifted into?". I was a phoenix and a dragon. What kind of creature is that . Gina walked forward, her back was turned to us. "You shifted into Phoenix dragon a myth in books of magic history. No fae or witch has seen nor has ever transformed into such kind of creature before. The dragon has its own flame magic, they are very powerful and Phoenix ,a bird of desert obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor. It reborns each time it has been killed".

Then Phoenix shifts the scene again, where it looks like she’s being held in Ajax’s arms. “Why are you crying?” she asks him. “One of our dragons died. He was protecting his rider. I wasn’t close to him, but he had such a hard life, and he died so young. I just … I wish he’d had a chance at a better life, you know?” She turns the scene again to show my dad pulling on his earth element and burning my body back into the earth before my mother takes my ashes and blows them into the night sky. I watch as Phoenix lights the path that she made, the path where she collected my ashes and brought them to the hatching grounds, putting them into a glass enclosure then shaping it into a dragon’s egg.

There were trees that bordered the property all around us and kept the prying eyes of neighbouring land owners away from us. Every year my parents had to attend the Illinois Dragonkin Ball which consisted of seventeen year old teens eager to meet their bonded halves or to complete the ceremony in front of the Elders. According to my father Bazzoit had spoken to Typhon in the dragon realm and they had altered how the ceremonies worked.

I can't hide my laugh when Phoenix stops right in front of his face making Draig look down. "Yous finally here, you pwetty," Phoenix giggles, hugging his nose making the young boy in front of me giggle. "Weee!" Phoenix laughs even more when Draig lifts her with his snout, placing her on his wing, letting her use the webbing as a slide. "You knew he was coming?" Ares brows pinch together as he picks up Phoenix and tries to steady his racing heart. "Ob course, he family," Phoenix nods and looks to Draig gives her a curious look in response.
