Behind her, Massimo leaned against his desk, his expression carved from granite. A half-empty glass of whiskey sat untouched beside him. He needed his mind sharp. His fury simmered beneath the surface, dangerous and controlled.
“We need to find the leak,” Talana said quietly, her reflection visible in the glass.
“I know.” His voice was low, but the steel beneath it was unmistakable.
“We’re exposed,” she continued, turning to face him. “If Drake knows our movements, every one of us is a target. You saw what he did to Sal, and he won’t stop.”
