Be With You

"You should try going out sometimes, honey. It's really not good for a woman to stay all day in her room doing nothing but stalking a man's social media account." Her mother said when she opened the door of her room. 

"Mom, it's also not good for a woman to go outside even if she has nothing to do. Besides, it's not safe going out nowadays. I'm already happy being here in my room." Adeline answered her mom without taking off her attention in her phone. She's too busy scrolling and drooling at the pictures of the man she's in love for a long time now. 

"But look at you honey. You're too pale already. You look like a zombie. Just go take a walk outside the house so you'll be able to get a heat of the sun. Aren't you worried of how pale you look like? Looks like you're going to beat snow white of being so pale." Her mother continue to scold her and she rolled her eyes. 

*Here we go again* Her mind muttered. 

She went up from her bed not taking off her attention in her phone. 

"Okay mom. I'll go take a walk outside as what you have said. My god. You're nagging me very early in the morning." She said then went out of her room. 

She's busy looking at the pictures of Drake Wright as she went down in her room. Yes. The man she's so in love with for almost five years now is Drake Wright. A very famous billionaire. A very handsome man and the man with an overflowing sex appeal. A man that any woman would want for the rest of her life. 

Her parents and Drake's parents are close friends which made them know each other, but the two of them aren't close. Sometimes when she and her parents go to the Drake's house, she tried talking to him several times but he doesn't even pay attention to her. He just ignore her presence like and keeps on showing that he's not interested in her. And she knows that. She also know that he already have a girlfriend. But she doesn't care. 

"You really like him that much?" Her father said behind her and she almost got a heart attack in surprised. 

"Dad!" She shouted in surprised. She breathes heavily as she touches her chest. Her father laughed at her reaction. 

"Why?" He asked mockingly. 

"You startled me. You almost gave me a heart attack. Can you please not to that next time?" She said as she pouted her lips and stomped her feet on the ground like a little girl. 

"I called your name several times already but you're not even answering me nor look back. I thought you're doing something important in your phone, but look what you're doing. Hmmm. Stalking him again, eh?" Her father looked at her with a mocking face. 

"So what? It's not like he'll be mine one day." She answered her father then rolled her eyes at him. She sat on the couch in their living room. 

Yes. She already get it. No need to slap it in her face. She know already that the man can't be hers for the rest of her life because he already have someone. And she felt bad for herself. Like what's wrong with her? She has everything already. She's beautiful, hot, drop dead gorgeous, smart, famous and rich. But she can't seem to understand why the man doesn't like her. And as she thought of that, her expression change. It became sad and little did she know that her father notice it. 

"You like him that much?" His father asked in a serious voice. She looked at him sadly. 

"I just don't like him dad. You know, I love him. And I really don't know why. Even though he keeps on ignoring me, I just can't seem to ignore him too." She said. 

"Don't worry. One day he'll realized your worth. Just don't push yourself too much. Enjoy your life for now. And you have a lot of suitors out there, just pick one of them that you could hang out with for the mean time." Her father sat beside her. 

"Really daddy? You're going to give me to just someone out there even though you already know the person that I like? Tsk tsk. You are really something. Are you really my dad?" She said unbelievably but it was just a joke for her father. She knew that her father is just making her a little comfortable about the situation. 

"Hey. You totally got me wrong, darling. I just said enjoy your life for now. You're overreacting." Her father shook his head then laughed. She smiled at his reaction. 

"I know right, daddy. Duhh! I'm just going along with the flow." She answered then mockingly rolled her eyes that made her father laughed more. 

"You're too naughty." 

"That's why I'm your daughter dad. I took it from you." She grinned widely at her father. 

"Yeah, yeah whatever." He said then stand up from the couch. "Anyways, where's your mother?" He asked. 

"I don't know. Maybe upstairs? Why?" She asked. 

"We're going to the company right now. Anj called me earlier, seems like there's a little bit of a problem." Her father said while fixing his clothes. That's when she noticed that her father is wearing a business outfit with his favorite glasses on. 

"Problem? With the hotel?" She asked. Except for the company that they own, they also own hotels and bars and clothing lines. 

Her father shook his head. "Its not our company who has a problem." He said that made her confused. 

"Huh? Then whose company?" 

Her father looked at her. "Drake's parents." 

"Eh? What do you mean by that?" She said still completely confused. 

"I think their company's going bankcrupt." Her father said and suddenly Adeline stood up in her seat. 

Oh no. That can't be true. What will happened to them then. What will happened to Drake. She needs to help them. Maybe she'll visit his parents tomorrow to ask about things. 

Yes, she should do that. Maybe she could help.
