She leaned forward. “I’ve read your book ‘The Creatures beyond us’, and I have to say, you’re a phenomenal writer. I thoroughly enjoyed it,” she complimented, her voice brimming with admiration.

Luci scoffed and lightly punched her friend in the arm before collapsing beside her, sitting half on her lap and dangling the other leg over the edge of the chair. Ariella squirmed under her weight but didn't mind the proximity. "Let's see what you have here...." Luci peered over her shoulder at the open book and couldn't hide the amusement in her eyes. "You really think you're going to get answers from here? Just look at how crazy that picture is! Like I said, you need facts not myths." "Oh, and I suppose you know exactly how to recognise a demon," Ariella sighed and closed the book, putting it on the table that was already stacked with similar books she'd discarded.

She's been making things difficult.
