It is funny how music touches everyone so differently. The guys are all huddled around the TV watching a game like it's the Super Bowl. Except, it’s a freaking video game. So, of course, Steve is instantly lost to me. I could do a striptease right here in front of God and everybody, and he would not have a clue. I could be murdered no more than five feet away from him and his eyes would not turn away from that 50-inch screen. They are hooting and hollering like they are at the biggest sporting event of the year. Steve hollers that he has dibs to play the next round and becomes lost in the crowd of overgrown "boys".

It sounds like drama but most sigh and turn back when they see it’s not. Dane’s sat at his desk, holding some notebook high to one side, hanging open while shielding it with his other hand placed directly on the shoulder of Marie, one of Charmaine's friends, to keep her at a distance. She seems to be trying to reach for it, fake shame all over her at whatever is written inside, but her grating tone and obvious seduction are disgusting. Dane isn’t trying too hard to keep her away and seems intent on reading it.
