I hope to wake up to find out this is all a nightmare. The rays of the sun peers into my eyes and I roll over to my side. I groan and sit up, resting my body on the headboard. My whole face feels swollen from crying so much yesterday. I lazily leave the bed go the bathroom and I shriek as I see a reflection of myself in the mirror. My eyes are red and swollen and I look like someone who just lost her husband. Of course I've lost my future husband for this. I find a toothbrush in the bathroom that looks new and I brush my teeth with it, after emptying my bowels of course.

I watched in horror as a figure merged from the shadows, plunging a blade deep into my side. A scream pierced through the chaos echoing in the depths of the night, startled. I awoke from the clutches of my dream, grasping for breath. The remnants of Cassandra's pain and the turmoil of the scene lingered in my mind, a haunting memory that refused to fade. I blinked again, but all I could see was white, blinding, useless white, and then I felt something warm trickling down my nose to my upper lip. I froze, reaching up slowly, and my fingers touched a thick liquid dripping down my lips that tasted like copper. My nose was bleeding. “FUCK!” I bellowed, rage and shock mixed with a little bit of fear filling me as my body shook.

Sighing, I close my eyes and rest my head on the pillow only to open them back up immediately I see Dylan's lifeless pale face with his mouth drooling blood. I pulled back the covers to look over her body and realized that her left hand was red at the fingertips and there were small blisters on them. I looked back up at her face in a realization that this dream was different somehow. This dream, unlike all of the others, had actually affected her. Not only mentally, in a breakdown that she had demonstrated, but physically as well.
