I usually had that dream after a particularly stressful day or if I’d had any alcohol. Ah. That would be why I felt like there was a hammer drill in my head and the Sahara desert in my mouth. “Uuuurrgghhh” I moaned as I rolled over to grab the glass of water next to my bed. The water disappeared in a couple of seconds and I swear I didn't even swallow. My mouth just absorbed it. I flopped back down on my bed and tried to put the dream out of my mind and remember why I felt this way.

My mouth watered at the sight, my once-dull teeth now sharpened into fangs. Oh my fucking gods. What the hell is happening to me?I had to be hallucinating. I freaking had to be. Once I splashed more water on my face, I wiped the blood away and stared at my teeth, which were now dull again. I mean, they hadn’t been fangs in the first place. They couldn’t have been. I even squeezed my eyes shut, attempting to grasp at the elusive memories, but like a bolt of lightning, they flickered away before I could piece them together. Frustration began to well up within me, and I turned away from the mirror, resigning myself to the fact that the dream remained elusive. Yet, as I shifted my gaze, something caught my attention – my fingernails. They bore tiny flecks of dried blood, an unexpected and unsettling sight. My heart quickened as I tried to make sense of the blood on my fingers. Did I somehow injure myself in my sleep, or was the dream more than a mere figment of my imagination?
