The room was deathly silent except for the frantic beat of my heart in my ears. His low voice and the one from my dreams overlapped, weaving into a single key that unlocked my carefully built self-deception with a sharp click. He was Mr. Y—the man who sang off-key love songs to me at midnight, and the very same one who had chastised me relentlessly in the day. I stared at him. His handsome face was so close, and the usual coldness and distance were gone, replaced by a fragile, pleading vulnerability. The light in his eyes flickered like a candle tossed all night by a stormy wind.

That’s when a number of strange creatures began to emerge from behind the trees and began to assemble behind the beautiful man. Creatures I had never seen before, some I had only read in books or seen in movies, like the fairies who were staring at me, or the centaur that kept glancing at me and then at the man. There was also fauns there along with many other creatures who slowly made their appearance but all of them kept their eyes on me as if I was something very unique and interesting. I gulped and began to have an anxiety attack due to situation. Really? Am I really in another world?

I dream of confusion, of tangled stories, of the chipping, grinding, carving of stones. In my dreams, I hear low rumbling growls and high pitched howling, see full moons and glittering constellations. I see Layla and Arnold holding a tiny bear cub, and Sarah and Nash riding enormous white bears into the sky. I smell Jasper beside me, feel a new claiming mark hot against my skin. I’m the first one to awake. My dream is still lingering in the front of my mind. And it gives me an idea.

That's an understatement. The room filled with laughter, warm and easy, as they shared stories and jokes, enjoying each other's company. Kris suddenly sat up, "Wait, what's the weirdest dream anyone's had recently?" Claudine's eyes sparkled, "Oh, I had this crazy dream about cats taking over the world." Ezrianna chuckled, "That's nothing. I dreamt I was flying, but my wings were made of cotton candy." Denzel shook his head, laughing, "You two are something else." As they continued sharing their bizarre dreams, the evening wore on, filled with warmth, laughter, and the simple joy of being together.

"You are awake." I stared at the four strange creatures before me. I didn't think I had ever seen anything like they were before and couldn't stop staring. I began to have flashes of memory of what happened yesterday night, how I was suddenly groped from sleep in the midst of the boys and fighting with them and then going suddenly unconscious. They noticed my stare and chuckled at the confusion in my eyes. "You want to know what we are." I snorted. "Who cares? Let me down."

He’d said they sounded a little bit like the demons they’d fought off in the portal, but those were not shaped like people, and they hadn’t bled the way she’d described it to him either. Cadence knew it sounded ridiculous to let a dream end her honeymoon early and send her flying halfway around the globe, but there was something so odd about this entire situation, the need to get home and find out what was happening was more important than spending a few more hours on the beach. Hopefully, she’d find out soon enough that it was just a silly dream, the creatures didn’t exist, and Daunator was still dormant under the mountain in his self-inflicted prison. She opened her eyes slowly. “The Nightmares. I managed to find that fragment of memory when faced with the dark monsters that locked the Green Forest Dragon in the Thorn Whip magic artifact. Does it have anything to do with The Nightmares?" Astrid asked, looking at Lycus Lewis. "The Nightmares?" asked Lycus Lewis to confirm. “Yes, The Nightmares. A dark creature that has claws and captivates the spirits of the orphans,” Astrid replied with an irregular breath. She was still trying to regain consciousness.

She was about to think she has abnormalities. Well, she is not normal, anyway. She is often weird to act and think. She is often suddenly transporting to her own world. But what about how she feels? Is it still to have an abnormal perception? She did not feel lusting over somebody else, and that was wrong. She would have thought she was frigid but a stranger scattered in front of her. That man is the living proof that she still has hope. And every time she remembered him, she could not stop the explosion of lust and need throughout her being.

He was greeted by a deafening silence and a horrible smell of burnt. He frowned and continued walking until he saw a few lights shining in the corner. He approached slowly and saw a few people lying on the floor. Some of them were dead, others were barely living. His heart started beating fast when he realized the creatures had shining hairs like his. Blue, silver, green, pink, red...All kind of colours were shining. He stopped when he saw someone wearing a long black cape walking toward him. He didn't say anything until the stranger took the hood away from the head.

Phil sighed and returned to his dream to rest and sleep. In the sandy plains of Egypt where the sun was slowly setting, the shadow slowly crawled out of the dunes to roam in the empty plains. An old man and a young woman were walking following a strange creature with flesh dark as shadows and wriggling tentacles forming somewhat a dog. The creature was sniffing the ground following a specific scent when suddenly the world stood still.
