Bob shared, sighing deeply as he locked his gaze on the models. “Dream?” I asked, looking at him. Bob scoffed. “Eve, a dream is when you see rainbows and unicorns. What I had was a nightmare. I must have been watching too many horror movies with my boyfriend,” he chuckled. “You and your boyfriend broke up?” Bethany chuckled, guessing about Bob’s dream. He sighed and rolled his eyes, facing my best friend. “I always think of that as an opportunity to find someone better, Beth.” He paused, his brows furrowing. “The truth? I can’t remember much about it, but it’s something related to the company.”

I sat up, heart tightening as I saw the telltale signs of a nightmare. Damian’s eyes snapped open, wide and wild, searching the room as if trying to escape something unseen. His hand clenched the sheets, knuckles white. “Damian?” I whispered, reaching out to touch his arm gently. He flinched but didn’t pull away. “It was… a dream,” he said, voice hoarse and trembling. “The crash… shouting… someone calling my name. But it didn’t make sense.” I swallowed the lump in my throat, wishing I could take away the fear that lingered in his eyes. “Do you want to talk about it?”

NIGHTMARES. A very bad or frightening dream. I have had this nightmare for almost twenty seven years and I can’t remember a single detail after waking up, not one single thing that can help me understand this. No sound, no smell, no image. At first I thought it might have something to do with Sage, but as time passed and details kept alluding me, I gave up hope to find answers in that nightmare.

Aiden nodded. "Right." For some reason, the response stung more than he expected. Damien checked the time. "I have work." "Already?" "I postponed enough meetings last night." Aiden blinked. "Wait... last night?" Damien walked toward the door. "You had a nightmare." Aiden's stomach tightened. He remembered fragments. Blood. His mother's voice. Someone touching his hair. He looked up. "Did I..." "You were screaming." The words hung heavily between them. "I see," Aiden whispered. Damien paused at the door. "You don't have to explain anything."

Damien chuckled, amused. “Go ahead.” Liora closed her eyes slowly and the goddess of sleep began pulling her under once more and then a strange thought drifted through her mind. What exactly was it about Damien Frost couches and bed that made her nightmares disappear?

My voice quivered as I spoke and continued to recount my recurring nightmares. "I'm trapped in that dark room and I can hear his voice whispering, taunting me and I can feel his hands on me. I can't see him, but I know he's there, lurking in the shadows, waiting to hurt me again.And no matter how hard I try, I can't escape it. I can't escape him." I sighed and looked down at my trembling hands. "We're here for you, Dannie. We'll help you through this. You're safe now." Alyssa said as she gently squeezed my hand.

“Promise me you won’t shut me out.” His expression softened—just slightly. “I promise,” he murmured. And for the first time, I believed him. Damien’s POV I didn’t dream much anymore. When I did, it was never pleasant. But that night, I dreamt of fire. Of blood. Of Aurora slipping through my fingers, her screams echoing in my skull. I woke with a start, my chest tight, my breathing ragged. Aurora stirred beside me, her body warm against mine. I closed my eyes, inhaling her scent, willing the nightmare to fade.
