The Wolf's Call (Book 1)
When I open my eyes again, I know exactly where I am, instinctively.
The dream world.
The familiar, unsettling dark path stretches quietly in front of me, endless and beckoning. I start walking immediately, compelled forward.
Malakai’s dreamscape appears briefly to my left, but it’s nothing but ruins now—burned-out memories, shattered dreams, and completely dead magic. He is truly gone.
I pass it and continue deeper into the void.
Whispers start first. Then soft, mournful crying.
Cages materialize, lining the path on both sides. People are trapped inside, curled up in fear. Some of them are immediately recognizable faces from Silver Lake. The souls caught under the horrific sleeping plague.
