A pair of tiny worn-out sneakers rested beside the door, the six years old me used to wear them everywhere whenever I came for summer holidays. There was a poster of Angelica from the Rugrats hung on the wall. Angelica used to be my favorite character when I was young so Auntie Laurel probably thought I still liked her. But I was all grown up and wasn’t into the Rugrats anymore, I still appreciated the efforts though.

He was just a little surprised that these photos were in Mr. Drkov's hands, Atlas would not give him these photos, it could only be that woman.

I asked a little concerned. "I left Mr. Pickles all alone" she said with a lot of concern and worry. Mr. Pickles is her favourite toy. She carried him everywhere and held him tight during the night. He was a gift from my aunt Danny who she loved very much. Mr Pickles was a soft green plushie that resembled a pickle, hence the name. Flamingo received Mr Pickles a little over three years ago and has loved him ever since.

Instantly I feel like shit for asking since he just finished counseling. Drinking is probably the last thing he would want. Drew shoots out his lip and waves a dismissive hand. "No, I am good, man. Thanks, though." He plops down on the couch and sighs. "How's the pooch been?" My eyes shift over to where Piggy has made himself comfortable once again on his dog bed, his hind leg hanging out the side as always. "Good. He is a pretty cool dog." Silence hangs over us for several seconds as Drew's eyes remain on my television screen. A commercial for lavender-scented shampoo comes on and I can't help but smirk at the irony, comparing it to my lavender dress.

At the Grocery Store – 20 Minutes Later Liam walked down the aisle with a basket hanging from one arm , pickles, strawberry ice cream, bread, and bottled water already inside. He was scanning for Clara’s weird cereal craving when a voice behind him said, “Never thought I’d catch you in daylight again.” Liam froze. He knew that voice. He turned slowly. Drew. Black jeans, leather jacket, that same arrogant smirk like nothing in the world could touch him. “Drew,” Liam said flatly. “Didn’t think you were back in the city,” Drew added, looking Liam up and down. “Still playing house with your trashy family?”

She lifted her eyebrow at him. Lisa popped Drake in the stomach and narrowed her brow playfully. "Yeah. No eating the pickles. The full jar in the cabinet will not be used tonight. It's for a more special occasion." Drake winked and picked up another pickle, sucking at it sensually when Sicily turned around. "Good grief, Drake. You're so vulgar. You fit in perfectly with Lisa and Marc." Sicily turned back around and started to pull burgers off the grill. Jake stepped up and held a platter as she loaded it up. "Glad Kari and I aren't considered vulgar."

Kelsey and I decided to open a new chapter on the Raise Your Pup book and decided today we were going to teach Pickles to roll over. We spent over an hour doing it before the door buzzed and my Mom walked into the living room, followed by Jackson. "You two came together?" I stood up from the carpet. "We met at the front porch." Mom shrugged and then hugged Kelsey who was at her feet in an instant. "Let's go, Grandma?" She asked. "Yes, baby!" Mom grinned at her granddaughter. "Then we will go do some shopping." "Yay!" She jumped up and down, clapping. "I will wear my purple sweater!"
