"I've never seen someone your age with such strength." Elijah looked up. "Then let's keep going!" As soon as the man heard this and was about to speak, Elijah had already charged at him again. He dodged in a panic, knowing he was no match in a direct fight. "Why are you dodging?" Elijah turned to look at him. "It's rare to find someone who can take a beating. I can't let you go." With a tap of his toes, he charged at him again. Meanwhile, Carl entered a room, glanced around, and his gaze locked onto an antique vase. He moved closer, rotated the vase once, and a secret door appeared before him.

Carl went to the Night Crawlers to handle some things before going back to the mansion. In front of the bedroom, Carl paused. He figured Violet must be asleep, so if he went in now he would disturb her. He tightened his hands and went to the study to see Reed. Reed stood in front of Carl and felt as though Carl wasn't in a good mood today. "Did you notice anything in the dungeon?" Carl asked. Reed answered, "No." Carl frowned and repeated, "No?" Reed nodded. "Nope. Just like you ordered, I rushed there, but didn't notice anything weird."

Beatrix said as both started running around the room. The door opened and Carl who was dressed in a white T-shirt and black Nike shorts came into the room. There was a bear headband on his head. "Hi, Mr Carl. Just so you know, that headband makes you look... let me not say it." Beatrix had seen Lavana's meaningful glance just now and so didn't continue with her words. “ALL ELDERS, FOLLOW ME TO THE CAVERN, NOW!” Valerius roared, his voice hoarse with terror. He shot out of the collapsing hall, followed by the other elders whose faces were pale as death. Rayden, driven by instinct and the agonizing pain ripping through him, followed without hesitation, with Orion and Anya right behind him. That’s been blowing up in my face a lot lately. Carl and I drove to the address I’d gotten and I parked around the corner from his house. The house looked decent enough as we walked toward it. I was at the back door and I picked the lock quickly. Carl tried to high-five me but I only shook my head in amusement and opened the door. We stepped inside and Carl closed the door behind him. We walked through the kitchen and living room and I stopped at the bedroom door and listened. I could hear his heart rate, he was sleeping. I opened the door as Carl got a chair from the kitchen and took it to the living room.

A figure crashed through the glass, a blur of motion, of fury, of impossible timing. Carl landed on the floor in a roll, coming up with a weapon that had materialized from nowhere. The men froze. "DROP HIM," Carl roared. They didn't. The first man lunged at Carl, swinging a knife. Carl sidestepped, caught his arm, and twisted it behind his back with a sickening crack. The knife clattered to the floor. The man screamed.

Curious as to why he was putting blood in his mouth. The boy didn’t know how long to let the blood drip; so, after about twenty minutes the boy started to feel a little dizzy. “You’re going to be okay, boy.
