She freshened up quickly, still buzzing from exhaustion and nerves. A few moments later, a knock sounded on her door. Sara opened it to find Cara, smiling gently. Over the past few days, they had managed to bond again, just a little. Sara’s eyes widened. “How… How did you climb the stairs in a wheelchair?” “It’s electric,” Cara said with a shrug. “And, uh… I don’t know if you noticed, but we have two staircases. I used the simpler one. I wanted to talk to you.”

He turned around icily to see two cobras coming toward Violet. Carl squinted his eyes and pulled Violet back from the edge. He attacked the two cobras quickly. The cobras split in different directions. The average man wouldn't be able to catch them both. But Carl was different. Despite the numerous wounds on his body, he caught them. He put strength into his hands and crushed their vital organs, throwing them to the ground.

I threw the pine cone at him, hitting him right between the eyes. “You bitch,” Carl growled, jumping to his feet and taking a step towards me. “Sit down, Carl,” I told him, not bothering to get up. “As much as I’d love to smash in your teeth, there is work to be done.” “You don’t tell me what to do. I am a tracker for the praetor. You are nothing but a filthy dirty who-” Carl’s words were cut off as his back hit the floor, his feet swept out from under him by Callius.

Casey resisted the urge to laugh along with the guys, he knew all too well what humiliation had been like and wanted no part in it even if Carl was a jerk for assuming he was on the juice due to his developed talents and trying to get the rest of the team to want him kicked off.

"I see you are getting to know each other?" Gebhard threw Carl a toy and the dog ran to fetch it. It was some kind of four-legged stuffed animal. I couldn't tell what it was. Carl grabbed the toy in his mouth and ran around with it for a moment before settling down. Carl laid on his side chewing away on the toy until he found the squeaker. When he got tired of playing with the toy he started dry humping the couch. 'Guess Carl is not particular.' I thought.

"Hey!!!" Carl shouted with excitement in his voice as he jumped down from his seat and ran towards Dominco hugging his leg, picking him up from the ground and placing him on his hips Dominco tickled his stomach making him laugh, "Stop it!" Carl said in a fit of laughter, getting up from the chair Matteo nodded his head towards Dominco as he passed him with his plate in his hands as he walked out of the house. "Did you enjoy the cake?"

Carl only spared a glance at him, before inserting his hands into his hoodie's pocket and staring at the elevator's button, as each one began to glow one by one, in ascending order. “My name is Jeffery and I work here and you?” the man asked as he stared at Carl suspiciously. “Carl,” Carl replied while still staring at the button. “I’m sorry but I don’t converse with strangers.” He said and glanced at Jeffery. “I totally understand,” Jeffery said and gave off a smile. “Piece of shit!” he thought to himself as he kept staring at Carl. There was total silence between the two men, as one kept staring suspiciously at the other and the other kept staring at the buttons.
