The second he says it, I already know where this is going.
“And you’re still not married.”
“Dylan’s thirty-two,” I shoot back immediately. “He’s not married either.”
“Dylan intends to be,” he replies without missing a beat. “He wants a family. He’s not opposed to it—and I know that when he finds the right woman, he won’t hesitate.” He rises from his chair, the shift in height changing the whole dynamic of the room. “You, on the other hand…” he continues, stepping out, “have no such intention. And I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.”
