Down below, Draven leaned against the bar and exchanged something with a man in a silver coat. Not cash. Not a drive. A folded envelope. Eden’s pulse quickened.

His dark brown eyes remained on the flames of the campfire as though he were alone and not in a circle of travelling companions. Venom was also usually quiet but he became louder and louder with each drink of ale, laughing raucously with Leech. Venom had mocha-coloured skin and eyes with thick dark curly hair. He was tall and broad-shouldered. His eyes held a lot of mischief and he kept looking up at the treetops. Cory knew hiding from high vantage points from which he could rain down his poison darts was his signature move in battle. Cory turned her eyes back to Hayden who looked like he was contemplating something deeply.

Ryan had just replied to her message. Eden raised an eyebrow and quickly typed one word. Eden was about to reply when the lobby’s spotlight was turned on. The host took the stage with a mic, and Eden paused, putting her phone away. Suddenly remembering something, she turned to Alain and said, "The man just now is a Living Venom." "Living Venom?" Alain looked at her with a frown. Horace and Caelus also turned their attention to her. "He’s been bathed in all kinds of toxins since he was young," Eden explained, gazing meaningfully at Room Number Two through the window. "His body is literally poisonous. Just touching his blood can poison someone, and the types of toxins can vary."

Logan stood in front of the workbench and stared at the Venomous Insect on the petri dish. Edmund, who was beside him, looked as if he was in pain and his facial features were all contorted. "It's still disgusting even if it's got smaller." As he said those words, he quickly backed off and put some distance between himself and the Venomous Insect. He had never expected to make a truce with a Venomous Insect. Logan was already used to this, but he still couldn't help but tease, "Edmund, are you sure you're a doctor?
