In the Arms of the Older Brother
“So, let’s just get on with it.”
He just laughed, low and soft, his face close enough that I could catch the scent of mint from his mouth. Studying his face up close, I noticed how much he resembled his younger brother, despite having different mothers. Their hair and eyes set them apart, but many of their features were strikingly alike. Still, Rowan’s features seemed more defined, sharper than Austin’s.
“You’re so needy, baby,” he teased. A fresh bead of water slid down from his hair, landing on my cheek, and he brushed it away, gently for a second. “Just so you know, I won’t stop even if you beg me.”
