A more intricate version of the symbol appeared next to it, and Ellya opened a side door to pull a furnace out of it. “Additionally, Core Elders and sub-elders will share a mind-link and a spell monitoring our lifelines. If one of us is in distress, our nails will turn cyan,” said Finnas. “Holy gods from above, as if I didn’t have enough mind-links and brandings already,” said Coralis to Sebastian. “It’ll be what, your fourth branding? We will probably be expected to share a mind-link with our ranked people too,” said Sebastian. “Yes, fourth one.”

The infant wore a gown of cream linen edged with pale gold thread, the tiny bracelet Bryna made glimmering on her wrist. Ezra joined them, holding a slender branch of blossoming apple—symbol of new life. He laid it across Alara’s forearms. “In bloom even against frost,” he proclaimed, voice ringing clear. Eamon advanced, reading from his parchment. “We gather to bless Elira Selene Bloodwulf, firstborn of the Alpha King and Luna.” He gestured to Elders who approached, laying small tokens in a polished wooden bowl—salt for purity, grain for abundance, a flame‑carved stone for courage.

Inside sits a titanium bracelet with a slightly different design than the one given to my Gamma. He has a plate with silver chains to secure it on the wrist. On each end of the plaque sits a natural amber gem with a crescent moon on the outer edge. The engraving on the inside is similar to Charity's, only slightly different. It reads Beta Theo- My lieutenant and friend- Alpha Elle. Sitting in the middle of the box sits two silver cuff links with natural amber gemstones and a crescent moon outlining the side.

Elder Lenore approached with a small bowl filled with a shimmering liquid, dipping her fingers into it before motioning for us to hold out our wrists. We did as instructed, and as she painted the half-moon symbols on the undersides of our wrists, the liquid felt cool against my skin. This was the moment of truth. The marks would sink into our skin, leaving behind an eternal glow that could only be seen under moonlight—a sign of the Moon Goddess’s blessing. Lenore set the bowl aside and raised her hands toward the moon. “Great Moon Goddess, hear our call. Bless this union with your light and love. Bind these two souls together for eternity, and guide them as they lead our pack.”

As she dressed, her fingers brushed against the small charm Lila had given her the day before a delicate silver pendant etched with protective runes, presented as a token of goodwill. The moment she fastened it around her neck, a faint wave of dizziness washed over her. It was subtle, barely noticeable at first like a momentary fog in her mind and a slight unsteadiness in her vision. She blinked hard, steadying herself against the dresser. Nothing dramatic, no pain or obvious sickness like before. Just… wrong. Elara removed the charm and stared at it, turning it over in her palm. The metal felt cool, almost too ordinary. A small crack formed in the trust she had been building toward Lila or

They're all smiling at me. "Congratulations princess you passed the test. You gained our trust. I will give you the last gem and our blessing" Lauren said and gave me the last gem and placed in my necklace. "We the gods and goddesses of the realm will give you our power and blessing" They all chanted. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I saw the wind, water, earth, fire, dark and light balls surrounding me.

We had already informed everyone of what we learned last night and how The Five wanted him present, but we were not certain why. “So, I have something for you three. It’s the custom of our people to wear blessed bracelets during special ceremonies and occasions. I blessed three of them for each of you for today. You don’t have to wear them, but I wanted to gift them to you regardless,” he said as he gave us each one. Of course, we would wear them. He was crazy to think we would not. He smiled as we slid them on. They were made with beautiful cherry wooden beads. Each bead was separated by silver rings.

Leaving him standing there. "I was going to give it back to you once you return; this pendant seems close to your heart." With a heavy voice, he continues, "But you thought of never coming back; You were going to tie knots with him" saying this an anger was visible in his every motion. Clenching his fists he tried to swallow all wrath. "This is the most precious thing I have; it's the closest to my heart. Wearing this I feel my parents are with me. My mothers necklace, a beautiful blessing." Saying this Keeping the pendant close to my heart, I touched it feeling as if I am close to my mom.

Elijah silenced me with a soft kiss on my lips and whispered, "Congratulations, my love. We are officially bonded now." He held up his wrist, showcasing a silver bracelet that shimmered in the dim light. My heart raced with excitement. My happiness knew no bounds as he took my hand and revealed an identical bracelet around my wrist. Lisa stood before us with a serene smile. "This bracelet seals your bond," she explained. "You are now bound by magic, not by fate. But remember, you must wear this bracelet forever." I beamed at Elijah and whispered, "I can wear anything for you. I’m so happy, Elijah. Finally, you are mine." Seeing Elijah and i relishing the moment, lisa went away.

Something that had nothing to do with battle. "Thanks," she breathed. "Always," he whispered softly. Too softly. The mate bond carried Kai's emotional spike straight to her gut. Jealousy, sharp as broken glass. "The spirits are backing off!" Lilith's shout broke the moment. The golden and silver light from Tamara's hands had written ancient words in midair. The spirits swirled once more before dissolving like sugar in water. "We passed their test," Tamara announced, putting space between herself and Derek. His fingers stayed on her waist two seconds too long.
