"My soul? Is that what she did to me? Do you know what it is called?" I hit send and after a few seconds the computer dings again and this time the email reads, "It's the Soul Eater. She has been around for thousands of years and will continue to take people's souls unless someone stops her." Typing one more reply, I send it and a notification comes up, "Unable to send. I mumbled frightened. “We won’t.” he said synpathically, reaching out for me and gently pulling me to his chest. “I’m sorry.” He whispered, before his phone light blinked... then died. I became more frightened. I reached for something. Anything, just need to ease my tensed heart. Eventually, I gripped something soft.
