Mare stops when she reaches the very last page. At the top it says EPILOGUE in big, bold letters, but the rest of the page is blank. “If I were writing an end to Wade and Daisy’s story”—she uses the fictional names as if this isn’t exactly our story—“then I see Daisy realizing that she has a lot of big dreams she wants to come true, but her biggest dream was always Wade.”

Sometimes in our life, there's really a time that we should leave. Not because we don't want to stay anymore, but because we can't afford to hurt someone evermore.

And truthfully, I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night unless I shared his backstory, and that’s how the epilogue came to life. Though, I didn’t expect it to grow so long, it could practically be its own story at this point. But, I guess it turned out that way because it wasn’t just Lucas’ backstory, it was also a reflection of the entire journey, seen through his eyes. I tried my best to give his character the depth and meaning it needed. I hope I was able to convey that well. But in the end, it’s up to you, my dear angels, to decide.

Hello, all my lovely readers, The last epilogue marks the end of the story of Hayden and Madeleine. Writing this book has been a roller coaster of emotions for me and I hope I was able to do justice to the characters and to all of you who read the story, felt what the characters felt, rooted for some of them, and hated a few.

I felt a surge of love and happiness and I threw my arms around him, holding him tightly. All one. Always one. Without oneness. This. The final chapter is not final. There was no first. There was no sequence. Only this. Appearing as sequence for a while. Appearing as progression. Appearing as development. Appearing as climax. Appearing as resolution. Appearing as dissolution.
