The Billionaire’s Regret Clause; One Year Together. One Love

The Billionaire’s Regret Clause; One Year Together. One Love

The manuscript could wait. Don came to the kitchen at one o'clock for lunch. He saw the envelope on the table. He looked at Ernest. Ernest nodded. Don opened the envelope. The editing had been thorough—the publisher had a specific editor assigned to the book who had worked on it for three months and had returned it with the marks of someone who understood the argument and had edited it in service of it rather than in service of their own preferences about what the book should be. Ernest could see this in the way Don examined the manuscript: not flinching, not bracing, but opening to the first page with the quality of someone who trusted the hands the work had been in.

The CEO's Little Secret

The CEO's Little Secret

“I would suggest hiring another experienced editor. Our intern has just moved to assisting Robert and is doing well, but the workload for all of us is getting high. There’s so many new potential authors to work with and not enough time to devote to them” Darien knew that it was a very valid suggestion and he didn’t have a problem with hiring someone else. The company could afford that. “I am happy to allow you to do that. I’ll leave you to select someone and I’ll let the HR department know that I’m allowing another member of staff here,” he said. “Do you have any other suggestions?” Becca looked over at the other editors. “Ebooks are doing better at the moment than physical books. Did you wa

HEAT BETWEEN THE LINES

HEAT BETWEEN THE LINES

"The source of the concerns isn't really relevant. What matters is maintaining the publisher's reputation for professional integrity." Jake opened his file on Emma's project. "I'd like to address those concerns with documentation. Here's Emma's original manuscript from six months ago, and here's her current draft. The improvement is measurable and dramatic." He passed copies of both versions across the table. "Here are my editorial notes from every session we've had you'll see they're detailed, demanding, and focused entirely on improving her craft. Here are emails from other authors praising the thoroughness of my feedback on Emma's work."

And of course, big thanks to Candis H and Sonya Stephens 💗 for always supporting me. I’ll be going back through the book from chapter one, making edits and tweaks, so feel free to check back later. You might spot a few changes here and there. Now, I’m still debating whether to write an epilogue or leave it as it is. What do you all think? 🤔

OWNED BY MY EX'S GODFATHER

OWNED BY MY EX'S GODFATHER

Sometimes it is just someone thinking. "The CB imprint," Harriet says finally. "That is good. Clean. Keeps it distinct from the grant program but connected to the mission." I can hear her writing. "Self-publishing gives you control over timeline and selection. You would need an editor. Someone with literary credibility who understands what you are trying to do." "I know someone," I say, and I do, suddenly, without having known it thirty seconds ago. Nadia Reeves mentioned at the interview that her partner edits literary nonfiction. I filed it without knowing I was filing it. "I will make a call tomorrow." "Budget?"

But if it's a significant change, please inform your editor about it first because after you sign the contract, all edits will need to be reviewed by your editor prior to publication But don't worry: the unedited version will still be there before the edit gets approved. #I uploaded a chapter twice by mistake, now I can't delete it, what should I do? You can't delete the chapters in your signed books. But your editor can, so please talk to them and they can delete it for you. #My book is finished How do I mark it complete? To mark your book as complete, simply inform your editor, and they will handle it for you. Important Notes: Once a book is designated as complete, you won't be able to add

Great explanation, thank you very much for sharing this guide with us authors. It's very helpful & will allow authors to understand what they're getting into, if they decided to become a GN author they're question we'd ask & answer we'd like to hear. This book guide is very excellent dear editors.

Answered a lot of questions I didn't even know I had, and the main one I tracked this down for. Just wish that when I submitted a book for the first time that this was a suggested read, as it would streamline a lot. Glad this exists, just wish I knew sooner.

Possessed By Death

Possessed By Death

“I will take a look through now. Don’t worry, I’m a quick reader and I've been doing this for years." As she read through the manuscript, he felt self conscious. A professional editor was reading his work in front of him. If she hated it, he would see her reaction first hand. “Do you have any experience in writing?” she asked as she turned a page. “I have a degree in English Literature and I have published two ebooks before,” he replied. “Did the ebooks do well?” “I’ve made some money. Nothing life changing,” Leo said with a sigh. It was hard to get big with ebooks. He had written a straight romance because it had seemed easy at the time. That one had been followed up with an attempt at some

Her answer was a wide grin, the one with teeth and eyes crinkling. Introduction and casual talks passed back and forth while we waited for the food. Leen was a senior editor at the Ellen publishing company and apparently She loves my book and it helps that Kaleb haf put a good word for me which I reminded myself to thank him later. An hour later, I was very much satisfied with our talks. Leen had promised to find an editor for my work and scheduled for our next meeting. Meanwhile, I was supposed to pray that my work passes the review for publication which is the first step for my success.

Well…her advice, that was. After that session with my dad and Eva chasing me all over the house, I sneaked into my room to contact Henry but when I checked my mobile I found that I had a message from him saying he was down with the flu and wouldn't be able to make it. So I spent almost the whole of yesterday scanning the draft into my laptop from my own personal scanner, and then I had to email the whole thing to Tania, who being the amazing editor she was, read the whole thing overnight. Tania’s Publication House is a small one. She took care of most of the work herself. For her, reading a couple hundred pages was like stealing candy from a baby! Though I honestly didn’t know why people kee

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!

mostly to fix formatting issues in my favorite fan-translated light novels. The one I swear by is 'Sigil'—it's free, open-source, and feels like a lightweight word processor but with EPUB superpowers. The split-view feature lets me toggle between raw code and a visual editor, which is perfect when I need to tweak CSS for manga-style layouts. For batch conversions, I pair it with 'Calibre,' though its editor is clunkier. 'Sigil' handles metadata beautifully, and the plugin ecosystem (like the EpubCheck validator) saves me from shipping broken files to my book club.

Honorable mention to 'Pandoc' for heavy-duty format conversions, but it’s command-line only and melts my brain after midnight.
