Emily was about to say something but I began to cough uncontrollably and the two of them forgot about their enmity and tended to me.
“We have to begin now,” Camila said, worriedly. “He doesn’t have much time left.”
“Okay,” Emily said, nodding in fright. “He’s going to be fine, right?”
“Hopefully,” Camila replied, “but you have to know that his wolf may take over for a short period of time before the upliftment works so it will be safer for you to leave us.”
“No,” Emily said stubbornly. “ I won’t.”
“Listen to me,” I said to her. “My wolf is dangerous, just stay outside, please.”
