I murmur as I slide the multiple dishes of food onto the island counter. Sitting a few spaces down from Beck, I fill my plate and chew down as if I haven't eaten in weeks. Truth be told, until recently, I've never eaten so much. I needed to gain weight anyway, but after what Hardin did to me my eating problem got worse. On the way home, I felt my breathing growing more rapid. My whole body swelled like rising dough, and I felt like my fat cells were multiplying, crowding my organs and filling my limbs. She's always been disappointed in her body since the twins. Before them she wore a size 9. The funny thing is, during her pregnancy she only gained 32 lbs. Right after birth she lost 20lbs. But the 5 years she stayed at home with them, she saw her putting on weight. At 225lbs she was disgusted with her weight. Make that 215lbs now.

With her appetite back, the title seemed like it was already in her pocket. Soon, competition day arrived. When Selina saw me, she froze. Her eyes quickly scanned the bead on my wrist before she blurted out, "Why haven't you gained any weight?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "Can't help it. I just don't gain weight easily." Gaining weight is normal. Could he please stop talking about gaining weight? Did he not know that women detested that word? Chris nodded. "Yes, it's normal.
