The Fae. Charming homes, shops, and other buildings line a cobblestone walkway. The walkway ends at the entrance of an even larger building that could be considered a castle. I make my way up some stone steps and a smile spread across my face as a heavy handcrafted wooden door opens and an elegantly dressed man steps out. He’s large. The only indication that he’s Fae are his pointed ears. Otherwise, I would believe that he was simply a large human man. That is if I couldn’t read his energy and aura. He shut the door behind him, and motions for me to have a seat at a table which is positioned on a balcony which overlooks the town. W

His other shoulder was visibly wrong, the joint displaced, and blood ran down his side from the gash on his flank. "You're hurt," I whispered. "I'm fine." His voice was tight with pain. "Are you—" "I'm fine. I'm okay." I wasn't, not really, but I could fall apart later. Fao turned his glare to the grey-haired man. "Who the hell are you? What do you want?" The man studied him, his head tilted. "You look like him. I wasn't sure, from the footage, but up close..." He shook his head slowly. "Gods above. You look just like your father."

"Did you find the person in the forest? I sense a strange smell, sweet, looks like a witch, but at the same time it doesn't." His voice was nearby this time. "Yes, I found the person. It's indeed a witch, but a different one. Could you come here at once dumbass?" The fae male appears in the same second, his gaze was in me right after and I scanned him too. He's a little taller than Kai, but with white skin unlike Kai who has golden skin, his hair is also curly black but it's long, and his eyes are pink. "Shit, you're hot as hell."

Another one roared. "Can someone call security?" The others suggested. "Don't worry, ladies. I'll handle this." They all looked satisfied when a man walked towards Marionne. He looked like in his mid-40s, yet still, look formidable and elegant. "I know you, Marionne, right?" Marianne felt like he was showered with ice-cold water. The man in front of him was the father of Ava. "Uhm—yes—yes, sir." He struggled to answer.

Some men were passed out on the floor, some staggering and others who were dressed in blue and silver armor seemed to be discussing. "I thought Fae didn't get drunk." I muttered as nausea crept into my belly when a Faun passed beside us and made a snarky comment in my face and the stench of alcohol hit me like no other. Morph snarled at the man and goddess, it was scary enough to make the man pause and saunter away.

I quickly close the door behind him and give him a carrot for being good. "How did you do that?" The man asks. I turn to see him looking up at me, but he doesn’t look like the other men I have encountered here. He is lean, but muscular. Not bulky like Leonidas or Alfred. His eyes are gray and shimmer like frozen water, and pointed ears stick out from behind his wide hair. “You are fae,” I gasp.

It was anyone’s guess. As we are talking, a hush and then a loud buzz of chatter begins in the room. I look up to see the most beautiful, delicate, exquisite man I have ever seen. He was easily seven feet tall, but lean and lithe in a flowing gown that seemed to float around him as he glided over to me. A deep, melodic voice asks, “Cara Nelson?” I nod, yes, because I can’t get my mouth to work. He must be a fae. I’ve never seen one before, they are rare and almost never interact with werewolves, but he looks exactly like what I would expect a male fae to look like.

The man’s eyes sparkled, and a laugh he laughed, lightly and mockinly. “Well, well, what’s this?” he crossed his arms as if watching an entertaining show. “A little wolfy lover’s spat? How nice.” My eyes blinked, “Who the hell are you?” “Kaya,” Leina stepped forward, “This is Sibil.” “Sibil,” the man repeated, bowing dramatically. “The one and only. The most handsome fae, the king of sarcasm, master of comedic timing, and apparently, the guy who interrupts melodramatic alpha showdowns.” He grinned at me, then Samuel. “You boys have quite the tension going on here. Do I smell jealousy? Rivalry? Oh wait, it’s just the scent of fragile egos.”

I had just finished shaking my hair out as my horns settled on my head when I heard someone approaching from behind me. Turning I see one of my brothers “Gogart, didn't expect to see you today” Gogart is one of my elder brothers his mother was a Fae. “Darnick, long time no see my brother. Do you know who this guest that father has coming is?” Gogart asks as he falls into line with me, Gogart is taller than I am but has a smaller build. His green hair hangs down past his shoulders, and his body is covered in Fae tribal tattoos.
