I climbed into my car brought to the front of the building by my side and sped off. As the traffic light ahead changed from red to green, I stepped on the brake but the car refused to stop. Trembling with fear, I continued to step down on the faulty brake. A loud horn blared as a truck bore down on me. Blinded by its lights, I swerved the wheel to the right. Everyone stood watching in anticipation behind the tempered glass wall. The lights started to flicker as the equipment drained the power. The turbine generated a few sparks and it looked like it was about to ignite a beam that would hit the wall. Then everything went black and the team heard the equipment switch off. The generators kicked in, and the lights flickered back on. It had failed.

I yelled at the omega, who wobbled to our side. “Together!” I yelled as Hope and the omega grabbed their end and me mine, tossing the tool at the car. “Not my contractors saw!” Frank cried then as we heaved it through the air, the wheels on its stand tuning in the wind. It was a successful toss as it hit the drivers side square, causing it to lose control and crash. The wolves started to fall behind then, more than likely just following until they could get more orders. “Frank, bro, we’re not gonna make it with the van.” Fritz looked at the dashboard of the vehicle, the engine had all of the warning lights on and was smoking badly.

The road felt unnaturally still now, as if even the bushes on the sides were watching.
