His massive, black-wolf form was nowhere to be found. He lay on the slab, his skin pale and translucent, his ribs standing out sharply against his chest. His face was heated, and his eyes were narrowed with rage.

Her face was slowly distorting, shifting between the features of the celestial creature and the human. She could no longer hold onto her mortal form.
