Standing on her toes, she leans closer to his ear. "Let me repeat the question, Travis Ericson. Did you return from the future?" Travis frowns momentarily before composing himself. His hand slides to her waist, startling her as he whispers, "I didn’t know time machines had been invented." She stares at him in disbelief, his amused eyes mocking her. She pushes him away and flips her hair back. "Then how did you know it would be dangerous?" she asks, grabbing another gummy. Travis snatches the whole packet and tosses it into the trash.

She wiped a tear from her eyes as she went and threw her mother’s sandwich and Root Beer away. “Good riddance," Jenna mumbled under her breath. She sighed as she walked back to her car.
